Thread: PLS let me heal BF in camps
I don't agree. BF healing only in cantina or houses.
IF anything, it should only be from Master Dancer/Master Musician, and only with the mouse advanced Ranger camp.
-Make it a Master Dancer / Master Musician skill (Sorry Master Entertainers)
-Make it only work in higher level ranger camps.
-Cap the maximum BF that can be healed at 50%
-Reduce the BF heal rate to 25-50% of normal.
Even than I am still unsure of it.
Aye, the bot thing is an issue. Had a novice entertainer walk in and ask me if BF could be healed in camps, when I said no he said something in reply like, "Dang, and I made this character to heal me out there too lol"

The more and more I think about this the less I like it. Aside from the bot issue, if this were to go in place there would be little use for the less popular entertainer training ground cantina's.
Would I still have a captive and appreciative crowd in the cantina of Lok? Probably not. The same could be said for any number of other cantina's. So the game has some controls in place to help foster a social environment. Is that so annoying to the hardcore gamers who want non-stop action that they have to take a break from time to time?
There is more to SWG than just combat.
I've just glanced through the responses & it seems a lot of people are approaching this wrong by saying there should be no BF healing in camps so people come to Cantinas. Here are the innate problems to look at:
1) Cantina's are basically boring.
I'm sorry but they are. Hotels & entertainment halls are worse. There is no other reason to go to a Cantina other then BF healing. It's a chore thing to do. People don't usually like to go get gas for their car, it's something they have to do. Mind you players are going out of their way to make them more of a fun roleplaying environment but there is no big draw to them as central meeting points. Things need to be added to them, maybe gambling machines, bazaar terminals, banking machines, bartenders ...something more here. Yes, players can compensate for this somewhat but it would have to be a concerted effort to push the player network in this direction.
2)Entertainment classes are only built unto themselves.
The entertainment class really has no hybrids unlike the other classes. Bounty Hunters, smugglers, classes like these are beautiful hybrid classes. Entertainers are entertainers. Why not have some bard like classes with combat elements for the non-purists? 15 skill points to dump down the tubes to pick up a totally different class that's not really going to be interrelated with your entertainer skills seems kind of lame. How about a bard that's a scout-entertainer that gains the ability to give you BF in camps at high levels? How about an Artsian-Musician that creates instruments that can enchance combat affects? Unarmed Combat-Dancer combat that combine graceful movements of dance into a deadly martial art? A spy who incorporates Image Enchancement into a disguise ability?
I mean you can make versions of these on your own but they don't really enchance your entertainer skills. Look I can make camps & heal mind wound in them. At higher level I can make bigger camps that heal mind wounds fasterin them! Does this really seem on par with say a Master Rifleman's head shot?A killer weapon sliced by a Master Smuggler? Thedeadly combos of a Bounty Hunter.
Why not gear the class into 2 directions. For those that want to stay in the Cantina give them more to do & greater abilities there. For those that want to go out give them more they can do out there.
For the bot issue as I stated folks that would create bots for healing BF in camps will create bots for healing BF in cantinas/hotels/private homes. Bots are very much a part of online gaming for good or bad.
I have no problem with tieing BF healing to Ranger camps vs normal scout camps as my main pratical use for BF healing is to give the professional entertainers an activerole in large raids on distant planets and if in doing so it also gives a role for upper rangers great!
As for the level that a dancer or musician recieves BF healing in a camp please see my first post on this subject where I explain the RP reason for why this should be tied to the Master title and not just to the heal 4 level. At the lowest end of the spectrum I would state that tech 4 and fatigue 4 would be the minimum that a performer should have in order to heal in camps, however I would like to see it as a reward for those that go all the way to master. I feel that the skill points needed for master dance/musician would be the deterant and the seperation needed to make this a skill that professionals use rather than a skill someone just picks up for a single purpose.
I suggest that only Master Entertainers/Dancers/Musicians have the ability to heal BF in camps. That way, our services would be in high demand.

Maybe the healing entertainer should be master dancer/musician and master scout. ![]()
Not likeley, considering that Rangers need to be master scout too, thats a lot of masters! ![]()
