We want to change the 'healing' line to a 'props' line that allows you to craft and utilize 'stage props' (weapons, armor and so on that just look like weapons and armor). We're increasing the xp rate gain overall, and removing battle fatigue from the game entirely. We have some other enhancements to the entertainer professions that we want to do as well (profession-specific inspiration buffs for non-combat professions), but this is what is currently in development.

Wow what have you guys been smoking, dancers crafting pretend weapons to use on stage - gimme some of that good stuff too

In all seriousness I asume it's to the effect of a dancer struts around holding a pretend rifle and gives buffs to riflemen or something to that effect, kindof makes sense but it's still somewhat ...... well whacky sounding. I'll really be keeping an eye on this one it has all the hallmarks of being a truly unique game experience.

I am not an entertainer but a combatant and I do not understand why you feel the need to remove Battle Fatigue from the game.. It gave me a reason to visit the entertainers and to get to know them. Forgive me for saying but the inspiration buff doesn't inspire me to visit them for that reason alone. It really just isn't that big of a increase in experience to get me there.

I'm
not even an entertainer. I came here trolling the dev tracker, but
please don't remove BF. Make it heal faster, but don't remove the need
for it.

SWG is unique because it forces interaction between players. You are required to find a doctor. You have to
find an entertainer and watch/listen. You used to have to wait with
others for shuttles. It promotes healthy interaction with fellow
members of the community. Please don't change this.

We want entertainers to be more like 'entertainers', and less like 'healers'.

In general, we don't want to force interaction. You should go to watch
an entertainer because you want to, not because you have to. It'll be
better for this to be a positive interaction ("I go see an entertainer
to get something good") rather than a negative interaction ("I go see
an entertainer in order to get rid of something bad").

FRIGGEN genious. Maybe entertainers can set up like...kariboki theater now with fake swords and stuff. Id pay to see something that wasnt lame. I dunno about the BF thing though. But i think you guys came up with a good way to put items back in entertainer hands. I assume we will see further information on this passed on soon(tm)?

I agree, the main reason I almost every game go and visit a cantina and spend some time their is to get Battle Fatigue taken care of. I would go for inspiriation buffs but it generally takes less than 2 minutes to get a full buff and then a player runs off!

If your going to take away battle fatigue, players will have less of a reason to visit entertainers and battle fatigue is an awesome and very fluffy reason to get entertained! Seriously if this done the entertainers better get a massive revamp to keep people visiting them! Remember that majority of players in these games really are anti social and also will only go do something if its beneficial... entertainers are NEEDED currently for battle fatigue and inspiritations.... don't take away one of their only features! Seriously I hope they get some new benefits to make players want to tip, pay, and visit entertainers.

I love entertainers for what they do, its a fluffy and very neat atmosphere to have in a game, and I always socialize and tip all I meet. I even go and tip entertainers who I don't even watch and listen to sometimes just to spread the love.

As for AFK entertainers... I will always ignore them and watch and listen to players I know are actually really playing and there. I also don't tip AFK ppl. I go into a cantina and see a novice entertainer.. I watch them... I ingore the master entertainer who is AFK.

Fair enough,I suppose. Personally, I think IBs are enough to get most people in, but it just seems like a change coming from out of nowhere.

What about wounds then? Are they going to get changed as well? I mean, I like to buff people but in all honesty, the 45 minute timer means most people don't look for a doctor to "get something good".

* no i'm not complaining about buff timers or their amount, although i would like to have better wound healing at master doctor than a jedi

I guess the problem is that, while IBs are nice dn all, some players are going to get to a point where they don't need XP, and as such they're going to stop coming to cantinas.

Goodbye my love, goodbye. Losing ground is what it takes if you really want to fly.

SWG Wiki: Everything you wanted to know about kreetles, but were afraid to ask.

"Looks like SWG attracts the biggest cry babies, who whine about the game in multiple forums but continue to play it. We are tired of people making multiple posts in every PCG forum and whining about SWG. If you hate the game stop paying the monthly fee and sell everything on Ebay."

I'm not an Entertainer, but I did take up a profession and a Mastery that allows me to heal it. What will happen to the rare mHealer Jedi and TotalHeal?

Hope my presence does not offend Entertainers here, this change does affect me as well, allbeit, less than the whole Entertainer community.

I personally love the idea of removing the social gathering that happens in cantinas, make it more like UO or EQ2 where a cantina serves no purpose and can be dead empty.

I know that this whole logic thing may be a bit unwanted over at the SoE offices, but wouldn't fixing the emense list of gamebreaking bugs first, and THEN revamp an entire system be a more prudent form of action?

That is if you are already working (code-wise) on the "entertainer revamp".

Overall it's sound like a decent idea if it can be handled properly... like listening to the communities ideas.
