Thread: Healing XP slowing to a snail's pace?

Incidentally, perhaps what it amounts to and what many in this thread are saying is this: If you work at something daily it'd be nice to have some show of accomplishment rather than a feeling of futility. Right now, I dance regularly and RP and enjoy myself and there is accomplishment on that side of it, but amidst it I am also dancing and frankly seeing nothing moving is giving me this feeling of futility. Do I want to leave? No. Nevertheless, it'd just be nice to feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Really, we'll just have to leave it at ye olde "agree to disagree". I don't think the XP grind is too long, simply because I don't see it as an XP grind.
120 hours. In a tent. And, the "high" XP option was to do stat migrations. Which took 10 minutes. So, for 10 minutes, I'd have to sit there in the tent. You couldn't do them any other place. Plus, any other ID work done outside the tent, took 2-5 minutes to do. So...even if you did nothing but stat migrations at 10 minutes a pop, it would still take 120 hours to accomplish. And that was only if you found someone to do stat migrations *on*.
So...while I understand the frustration of a long grind, NOTHING was more painful than that.

When Publish 8 came out and they changed how XP was granted, you could no longer grind it out fast like before. Even, as fast as you can do now.

See, that's a painful grind too, but that is why I refuse to do ID. (Although it seems they've done away from that) And now they've transferred it to the dancers and musicians. NONE Of these grinds should be so slow you feel no accomplishment. It's ludicrous.
I Mastered Entertainer, ID, Musician and Dancer in 8 days, yeah, healing xp is slower without Mind wounds now but uit's still ther to be earnt

All professions shoud ideallytake about the same time to master, so we'll have to see the average time it takes for the various combat people to master under the CU, then we'll know how much time the Entertainment professions should take. Right now, as you say, it could take months gain healing xp for Master Musician or Master Dancer, but Image Design can be done in what, three hours? All the Entertainmentmastery timesmust be looked at and reworked in our revamp so we match up with the other professions out there.
Right now it seems the only BF healing we really get is from pilots who are coming down to enjoy the ground game...so for healing xp, I've been hanging around in the cantinas near the major starports. It's still not fast, but it's not unbearable, either.
We want to change the 'healing' line to a 'props' line that allows you
to craft and utilize 'stage props' (weapons, armor and so on that just look
like weapons and armor). We're increasing the xp rate gain overall, and
removing battle fatigue from the game entirely. We have some other
enhancements to the entertainer professions that we want to do as well
(profession-specific inspiration buffs for non-combat professions), but
this is what is currently in development.

what?
Since you're removing BF or planning to do so, can we at least get confirmation that won't be doing the same to wounds?
I'm not even an entertainer. I came here trolling the dev tracker, but please don't remove BF. Make it heal faster, but don't remove the need for it.
SWG is unique because it forces interaction between players. You are required to find a doctor. You have to find an entertainer and watch/listen. You used to have to wait with others for shuttles. It promotes healthy interaction with fellow members of the community. Please don't change this.
