Thread: BuffBots, are they really the problem?

No, not because I disagreed with the point, but because you MADE the point. Does anybody else see a reason for him to be attacking me for stating the fact that he supports the existence of buffbots? It's fact. I'm not sure where exactly you see falsity.
See you in the new thread, I am excited about the discussion

I'm an outsider too.
I was peeved about the outsider comment because I dont considermyself as such.
The first profession I masterd was dancer (3 months after release), I kept it for a long time got bored and did bio engineer. I started to miss dancer and decided to master it again (now the holocraze was in full swing). But I guess because I dont belong to the entertainer forums "clique" I was labeled an outsider and that my posts should be ignored. This was (btw) after I had posted a very long backstory on my dancer in this thread. So ya, I was upset
I did come up with a new idea invovling allowing people to use a character with merchant skills to provide a buff vendor somewhere in one of the numerous posts above. Perhaps you missed that as well, but as I said, boy this is long and its ok ifyou missed it.
Ah yes I did miss it. I started the thread and it got to like 4-5 pages that day. I went to bed and when I came back it was a bit longer
About your idea, I think it is great. It would help curb the availability problem that so many combatants are currently worried about.
Perhaps its time for a new thread discussing all ideas, it would certainly be easier to read than this one
Good so let's discuss it.
Lets make a new threadeer tomorrow lol its late
"No I'm not."

Devs announce no more recursive (looping) macros. Buffbots effectively exterminated. Real entertainers rejoice. Now there are lots of entertainers, everybody's happy.
The end.

Good for them! People no longer tip for healed wounds and battle fatigue. That economic tragedy is long past, and the damages of afking are irreparable. We don't expect to have our economic livelihooddestroyed because a Master chooses to go afk and continue dancing. It already happened once. That's why we were given the ability to buff at the level we can today.
I tip if they are ATK when they heal me and know many that do, and I tip if they are ATK or AFK when they buff me.
Though I tip the ATK more, and if I miss the ATK buffer and head to the bot (which I always do now because I got tired of the arrogance entertainers are forcing on everyone, wont support it) I tip the AFK and ATK.

Milandra, it wasn't arrogance. It was genuine concern. I hope you realize that someday. If you harbor these ill feelings for live entertainers forever, you won't be getting many buffs in the future.
Sure I will Til, there will always be bots.
You can deny me service for thinking of all other professions instead of just the 2 you had hoped this would affect if you want.

You, however, insist on visiting buffbots purely out of spite. The issue has been discussed at length, and many entertainers agree that this is the right direction for the entire game, not only the entertainers. Apparently the developers share our views, as they've made a drastic and unpopular step in an effort to adjust the path it is currently on. Can you deny the fact that this game belongs to the developers? We can only hope to lobby our position as convincingly as possible. The developers were convinced. I'm sorry you do not share our views, but I'm not sorry for what has happened. I pray that all works out for the best for you and those who frequent buffbots.

I'm not that petty, I would hope you know that.

Actualy I also visit them because I dont get bad buffs and I dont have to spend 30minutes to an hour finding one.
The arrogance and name calling just made me say "why bother." The ATK still gets paid, I just get my buffs elsewhere.

>> Masters are AFK in cantinas because the profession is a bore
No, I didn't forget it. I left it out because on my server IT NEVER HAPPENED. All the master dancers I knew had a blast playing their toons. The only long-term AFK masters I ever saw were buffbots.
I'm sorry you think the profession is a bore. I do not! I love it! And I know plenty of other musicians and dancers who love it as well. You can just take your negativity back to your server and pout, I'm glad you're not on mine.
just a little change ![]()
There are lots of entertainers, everybody's happy
>> People start grinding entertainer for Jedi and do so AFK
>> Real entertainers get disgusted and discouraged, stop entertaining
>> Masters are AFK in cantinas because the profession isnow a bore
>> It's harder to find buffs, live entertainers driven out by AFK grinders
>> Some people make buffbots, people use them
>> Devs announce grinding is going away
>> Entertainers are excited and start going back to the cantina
>> Entertainers find grinders dwindling but suddenly a bunch of buffbots taking their livelihood
