These don't seem to be working quite right. I've been running some tests with some friends and it seems that about half the time the droid will say its doing damage to a nearby target (listing damage and everything in the combat spam) but the targets aren't taking any damage. Anyone else able to confirm this? I first noticed it with creatures (it didn't seem like it was taking down enough) and then ran tests against npc's so I could track the unique names.

I'll keep my eye out for this. If you see/gather more info, make sure to get it at me.

Has anyone put these in a Binary load lifter, or any non combat droid other than an MSE?

I've seen a similar problem. 8 mse adv each with a 38 detontaion power were sent up against an enemy turret and all successfully blew up next to it, but NONE of them did any damage!?!

Sounds like a bug to me...I sent a bug report on it as all of you should as well

armor is a comparables game

a vuln mean 100% will get through

if you have an AP(iercing) 1 weapon against AR2 armor, 50% of damage goes through

if you have an AP0 weapon against AR2 armor, 25% of damage would go through

Question may be what is the AP rating of the blast of the droid, and the AR of the turret?

If the droid is AP 0 and the turret is AR1, that would explain your 50% damage...

Here is how AP vs AR works. For every level of AP above AR you add 25% damage and it's cummalative.. So AP1 vs AR0 is 125%. AP2 vs AR0 is 156.25%, AP3 vs AR0 is 195.3% damage.

If AR is higher you reduce by 50% per step. So it's 50%, 25%, 12.5%.

If a target is vulnerable to a damage type. It is considered to be AR0. HOWEVER, you also lose any AP value. So attacking any target that is vulnerable to the damage type, gives the weapon AP0.

So if the turret is vulnerable to blast damage and the bomb droid is blast damage. You have AP0 vs AR0. So it should do base damage. If it's doing anything else, it may be a bug.

I just got them to reply on the detonation module vs enemy turrets question via customer service ticket.

According to them droids with detonation modules can no longer affect enemy turrets!!

That is so weak if its true!

hmmm, if they put this in they did it without telling anyone... Though you can't always believe CSR's, half the time they seem to be just as clueless as we are. I don't know if I'll have a chance to test it any time soon, the smuggler I had testing it is going to be MIA for most of the summer.

As I wanted ot test them myself, I reached novice smuggler.

Did some testing on trade federation victims.

Nice damage on multiple target.
1 big problem : Impossible to loot the corpse.
The game act like someone else did the killing and I'm not autorised to loot.

At such high price on resources, I would expect a little more than that. But eh, it's in line with BLL...

You can just do a quick AOE attack (if you can get close enough to do it without getting killed point blank area 1 works fine). As long as you hit all of the targets once yourself you will get full xp, looting, and harvesting rights.

greater is the distance with the droid, lower are the damages.

That is what I first thought too. Detailed testing here showed that damage is randomly assigned to targets in blast range, and NOT necessarily based on distance to initial explosion.

A tester reported that a stormtropper right next to the target (damage 6300 wasdamaged 2400 , while an AT ST on the edge of the group was damaged 6300.

have fun

I put one in my BLL barker droid just in case I need the datapad space.

Q: What is the estimated average BR (Blast Rating) of the Demo module?

I've decided to play with making some Det modules... with the various copper I've had about... Don't laugh at my Tolium... It's very sensitive to non-believers...

BR3 Thallium (OQ72, CD571), Malium OQ446, Tolium OQ3 (told you)

BR4 Thallium (OQ72, CD571), Culshion OQ925, Tolium OQ3

BR5 Mythra (CD893, OQ291), Malium OQ446, Tolium OQ3

BR6 Polysteel (CD975, OQ530), Rethin OQ922, Tolium OQ3

BR6 Polysteel (CD1000, OQ194), Culshion OQ925, Tolium OQ3

BR6 Polysteel (CD1000, OQ194), Malium OQ446, Tolium OQ3

BR7 Platinite (CD935, OQ975), Culshion OQ925, Tolium OQ3

Seems like my best so far is BR7.

CD has no relevance here, just mainly OQ or both?

Stacking modules do work. But, it seems like I got abonus point somewhere (unless someone made the counter miscount).

2 +3 Modules in a MSE resulted in a BR27 (13+13=26, +1)

2 +5 Modules in a MSE resulted in a BR31 (15+15=30, +1)

2 +6 Modules ina MSE resulted in a BR32 (16+16=32, +0)

+6 and +7 Module in a MSE resulted in a BR33 (16+17=32, +1)

Can anyone tell me why I got one point difference?

(still trying to figure out a reasonable price, no matter the BR)

Bah, can't edit... hit submit before I proofread myself...

+6 and +7 Module in a MSE resulted in BR33 (16+17=33, +0)

Is it because anything lower than BR5 will result in a the little bonus or what?

(Blast Rating or Detonation Rating... Hrmm... too many names one can use)
