Thread: To all the holocron DEs
You don´t need 6 tools with the abovementioned macro. With the pauses its timed exactly to work with 5 tools.
When I saw Star Wars in 1977 (I was 6) Droids where magical and new experiance for me. The seed to be a DE was planted on that day so long ago.
I am a 100% pure crafter, and have never thought twice about it. Although DE is in limbo currently I have high hopes that the Developers take a few days and watch the original 4,5 and 6 (Preferably watching 6 after Jabbas palace as lord knows we don't ned them getting any more ideas) Not the enhanced versions, but the originals in their form.
I like many of you am a MDE by choice, not by random selection of holocrons. I'm not sure where or how the idea came about to make the progrssion to Jedi but who am I.
Here is to hoping someday we will be granted the the power to become the backbone of Star Wars we are in the movies conveyed to in-game.

get off your high horse, you do what you do for entertainment, or you are supposed to be... that is what YOU PAY FOR...
I will have fun with DE for a couple of days, then I will surrender it, if I want it back someday 500k steel, 150k fiberplast and one day and I will play with it again.

I feel combat droids should be DE only and that WE (yes, I am a master DE as well you know for the moment) should be tanking, not the CH's. I am a tanker.. that is why I have CH. If DE was equal to the task I would drop CH in an instant because I like droids better. But nobody got to see that information, that communication, because your designated communicator decided to tell all you "real" DE's to one star my type.
And right here you prove my point. DE is a crafting class, not a combat class.
You are a CH - but you don't see the problems inherrent with applying a CH structure to DE.
CH's don't have to maintain hoppers. DE's do.
If DE becomes the flavor of the month, and everyone is a DE to have battle droids, how do you think that hoppers can be maintained?
Most people who play DE's have worked towards getting the devs to work a cert system so that anyone can use the high level battle droids. Were you aware of this? When you could have your weapons mastery AND a really cool battle droid. We have been working to get you uber-tanker-fighter types the droids you want. If you go and read Sintrosi's posts to the devs, you would see this.
Oh, and almost everyone here can see one-starred posts, btw.
Yazule, the way you expressed your feelings about Sintrosis post does nothing to solve the tensions that right now exist between some of the "old-school" DEs and the so called "holo-chasers".
You said, you usually post in a polite and friendly matter. You could have done this too on this issue.

With posts that fit the above post those are meant, that ask for the thousand time how to get to Master DE quickly when the whole info they need is right before their eyes.
Thats a typical problem of internet forums. You can collect all the info you want, make it sticky, give it a clear name like "First read here" or "FAQ" or something in that fashion and still people post the same questions over and over again. It clutters the board and moves interesting discussions further down the board. Imho this approach is impolite to the guys actually discussing their profession. Yes, there is a tendency in internet forums that some people become what others would call "board-nannys" or "board-police", if they choose to use such derogatory terms. I don´t believe that we have this kind of behaviour on this board. The only thing Sintrosi and the others are asking is to not clutter the board over and over again with the same seemingly stupid questions (they are stupid in my book because all the info is right there to take). To me its clear, that Sintrosi and the others don´t condemn someone only because he´s a "holo-DE". I think we´re making way too much an "old-school vs. holo" discussion out of something, that has only to do with being lazy and impolite. There will always be people who come to a board who don´t even try to get the info using the sticky threads and the search button. It just happens, that with the idiotic way SOE chose to become a Jedi there´s a great increase in these "why should I read anything on that board, if I can just post my question as a new thread"-threads and all of these guys are unsurprisingly "holo-DEs".

Its not Sintrosis job either. He´s doing it in his freetime to help ALL DE´s to get a profession that works and is more fun. If people read something else into Sintrosis post namely to one-star every single "holo-DE" instead of one-starring the "stupid" "holo-DE" posts, they are not much better than those people. Its not Sintrosis fault.
Maybe when things cool down a bit, we can all discuss in a relaxed and polite manner and keep from generalizing. Given the state of the profession its understandable that some people here overreact. Thats not an excuse; they should still be able to differentiate between the group of lazy "stupid question" posters and the rest. I got the impression that Sintrosi and most of the people on this board are able to do that.
In an ideal world, we all wouldn´t waste our time lashing out at each other but we would be in-game crafting great, useful, working droids and make loads of credits with them.
I would like to encourage you to read all the interesting threads about battle-droids, DE-only or not, etc.
Rereading your last post I would like to quote what you wrote earlier:

I would like to believe that, but your entire last post speaks a whole different language. For the record, (as it may have something to do with me being ignored), I AM a true DE and have been trying to get master sence two weeks after launch, cause thats when i got the game, i am NOT master only because i am trying to enjoy the game and dont see any way that getting master at this point in time makes me a better person or increases my gameplay experince for the time being.... allthough sometimes i think i should get to master just so people will listen to me...
And i am proud to say that i have never met anyone on my server who is rude to me or talks bad about my profession
(You've brought out one of my DE pet peeves, many crafter only DEs try to post like they represent all DEs saying we don't want DE only combat droids, you do not. The combat DE camp does not act like we represent everyone, please afford us the same curtesy we offer you)
My bad.. I know we don't all agree here on the issue of a combat/craft class base for DE.
But... at least you were part of the debate. And it was a very good debate.
Yes, I think you are wrong on the direction of DE. But at least you aren't a noob chasing the dragon I mean holo to make your point.

Sintrosi is one of the best corrorspondants out there.
When this post was made, every forth post was, "Can I have a macro to level to master DE in 7 hours". People weren't bothering to even read the other page one posts that were germane to their question, let alone do a search.
seeings how there are probably more holo DE's than "real" (lol how pompus) DE's you just cut the communications more than in half.

You have the audacity to come in and say that?
How many constructive ideas have you posted here? How many months have you been a DE, and how many more will you stay one?
Can you tell me what the issue with the LE repair droid is? Or the surgical?
We have been producing huge volumes of information about the state of this profession. SIntrosi has done a great job of assembling that information for presentation to the devs.
What response do we get back? None. Yet Sintrosi has preformed his task admirably in the face of dev apparant apathy and silence.
And the bottom line is, if you are just going to grind through the profession and not play it, you really shouldn't have much of a voice. Some of us are not going to go for the FSCS slot - but, like I, will stay a DE. It is like you are passing through a city on vacation, and want to vote in the mayorial elections because you are staying in the hotel.
Now, for the holoDE's who actually play the profession, this post, nor Sintrosi's applies to you. If you go back and read the post, it specifies which subset of the holoDE's are being addressed.

I asked no stupid questions, I didnt ask for any how too's, I did state that I am a master DE and dont even know how to make a storage droid yet. I did admit to having done it by a holo.
Even though I did not ask noob questions, just came in to get a feel for the people in this class and see if it was something I would want to keep or get back after holo chasing (only takes one day to get master after all). What I got was idiots one starring me because some "communicator" told them to... or at least they percieved what he said as that.
So yes ignore me, go kiss the feet of the guy who makes you guys look bad. Huddle in your corner and cry.

I was very friendly and communicative when I first came to these boards, and I am very friendly and communicative on other boards... but you guys need to get a grip or another profession because you are just bitter and self pittying (or at least a bunch of you are, including your vaunted communicator)
