I posted a Threed in the Test Center Forum. It looks like the Devs watch that the most. Please place comments in there also, so that we can get publicity. Also if you have a change please create a character on the Test Server and help test any droid changes out. I would hate for them to make a change we don't like.

How do you quote posts these days? Sheesh.

But seriously besides the fact that CH get huge pets that can wipe the floor with our droids, they aren't stuck training 86 gnorts like we are building Mouses. Can DE get just a small bit of attention?

I think the best route to this would be to up the XP for the droids by 10 times but also up the time it takes to craft by 10 times.

This would solve the problem of the market being flooded as we all head to Master DE and we could sell our driods for more than 100cr.

Reward and reduce the horrid grind. Give us non-sellable personal uber-droids (even at the expense of removing sellable battle droids maybe). Exp costs are silly.. especially with no Uxp. Oh and the droids need some major work.

I'm not even close to DE yet as I am out of town for a week but if the droids really suck as bad as I've read I'll change my career path before I get there.

I agree with the relative few here. Its been what? 7 days of game play? And on my server we have a Master Aritect. Now I don't want to take anything away from all the hard work, and fun that the game has obviously provided him. Cough, cough, macros and grinding. But aside from that.

People, Elite professions should be hard, they should take tiime. There should be a level of lastability. Okay that'snot a word, but seriously, if it was easy to be anything in this game then it isn't worth doing. If things stay hard and time concuming, maybe that will force you to go out and experience more aspects of this game. Do more than just sit at the crafting station and grind. You're supossed to have fun, not just grind. If you want to do that fine. So, you grinders, do you want to make it easyier for others to be DE's, so they too can make Droids and the market will get flodded with supply and your work will be useless? No you don't want that either.

I have Eng IV right now and sure it bothers me that I have to get all grip of bones and hides to make armor to get the 28.8 crafting xp to get to DE. And yes it seems that its very difficult to get tier one skills from what some of you are saying. My proposition is too make the other professions harder, so be equall with DE, and not make anything easier. If the MSE Droids aren't giving the right xp, or they don't so anything, we need more options to make them cooler or more atractive to buyers, not just lower xp requirements.

I just don't agree with easier. I want it to mean something to be a DE, and mean something more to be a Master. I should take at least a month, maybe moths to be a DE. I know people hate RL examples, but you can't be a Doctor in a year, you can't be an Engineer at NASA in a year. Experteise and high level skills take time do develope and learn, lots of time. When I am a Master DE, I want to be special, to look back and say, man that was a pain in the butt, however, no that I am on this mountain, I know that most of you down there won't take the effort or time to get here, and that will make it an even better achomplishment. Think about it.

I just came to the depressing realization today, as I worked towards advanced blueprints, that there seems to be little reason to progress in droid engineering. If I'm not mistaken, other than the probots, each new droid is effectively only a cosmetic change? They don't actually do anything new with levels?

Eugh. I'm gonna get advanced blueprints, maybe even expert for the probe droids, but beyond that I may end up going tailor or architect. IMO, the greatest problem in this profession is the lack of reason to advance. Give each droid something unique. I also like the idea of making droids more rare by having them cost more and give more XP.

And while it probably won't happen, I do think harvester management droids would be excellent .. they could carry maintenance out to the harvester and bring your stuff back, making themselves actually useful.

We do need a dev response on this, if only to say droid engineering is working as intended presently. LOL.
