I attended Celabration II in Indianopolis, IN (Just before the release of SW episode II) because my son is one of the Jedi-Robe-Foil-Lightsaber crowd.
I too expected 1000-5000 people.
Umm... there wereover 100 thousand there. the lines to get into some of the venus were 4-5 hours long
Lucas has a heck of a big fan base....Do not underestimate that base... and I suspect that 99% of them probably have SWG account(s)

We all understand that priorities change, however, you could have informed us about this when you knew about the change, instead of letting us get crushed by false hopes in the 2 months since you stated that we (DE's) would be the main focus for January.
Nobody's calling you a liar, but your quote from November (and, so far, it's results) are typical of what DE's have been hearing since launch. We've been told, numerous times, by different people, that we were "next on the list", and these few bug fixes in Pub 6 are the first ones that have been fixed since launch.
And, I must say, adding ONE module slot to the Advanced BLL makes it half as useful as an MSE. And the basic BLL is still worth diddly...
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said, in my newsletter, that the January publish would be focussed on Droids. After that, Lucas and SOE agreed that Publish 6 would be focussed on the Imperial Crackdown, for two reasons:
1) Increase the feeling of Imperial oppresion to make the game more Star Wars feeling
2) Give us the time necessary to treat the droids with the amount of energy they deserve.
In Publish 6 (the publish I referred to), the following things are happening:
should have just let us know this sooner and you would be spared all this grief

l Added general module slot to the advanced Binary Load lifter droid, and both basic and advanced protocol droids.

woopty doo? this shouldnt have been broken like this in the first place. nor is it that complicated of a problem to fix and should have been fixed long ago.

I want to keep you very informed about what is happening in our studio, for your game, because it really is your game. We are trying to have open discussions with you. We are trying to get the In Concept> In Dev > In Test > In Live system working. Please understand that this business is extremely unpredictable at times.
I, uh, just want to take a moment to get this straight, be sure I'm on the same page here.
So what you're saying is that the developers are under no responsibility to keep their word in any way, shape, or form, to the community because 'things change,' nor are you responsible for alerting us to the fact that something has 'changed' in a timely manner.

JustG,
Rather than come up with excuses, I would find it more constructive and better for all of US in this player community if you would go to the "Publisher" or whoever changed the schedule and complain to them that the customers have been expecting "x" for "y" amount of time and will be very displeased with all of SOE if "x" does not come out on date "z" when told it would.
If you are a spokesperson for the DE community and the player community, you SHOULD put your pride aside and rather than getting offended, attempt to do something about it in our and your favor.
