Thanks for stepping up. Try to check in with Freastro and find out what's what. If you want, I'll be happy to switch the names, so that your in-game name shows on the Admin list.

The post above has great info on how to build a list to work from (early on).

Early on...

Get names. Then get some more names. Have people help with getting names.

Basically, work to build a singular list to operate from and, when you have a good number (say, 7 or more), drop an email on them.

I would try to 'enlist' the other DEs to helping you grow the list by sending in the names of those that they train. When you can, get a meeting to together and do a Q & A (for the newer DEs), talk about coming changes or bugs, etc.

Excellent. A few needed resource reports and a few other things will be all it takes to really show all the DEs how powerful this kind of association can be.

Not only that....

I recommend that you occassionally use the Profession search tool to look for Droid Engineers. That's an awesome way to catch some of the DEs that only play in-game and don't use the forums.

Woody and I used to get a lot of DEs for the Ahazi list just by spending a bit of time doing that alone.

Something I learned last night about the profession search tool is that it seems to only show those characters that are wearing a title over their heads with something to do with droids. I tested this on an armorsmith buddy who lives next door to me. He's wearing a Master Merchant title and when I searched for amorsmith he didn't show up. Only when I searched for Merchant did he show up in the search. My point, there are probably a lot of DE's out there that just aren't wearing their titles. I for one didn't for a while due to lack of resources to actually make droids!
