Okay, I just had a Master Ranger friend use one of my 91-rated Scout droids, and a 14-rated Scout droid.


Against a Gualarma, and a Rogue Faamba....(Ranger/14 Droid/91 Droid)Gualarma 33/20/35, Rogue Faamba 142/??/134. Did't find 3 Rogue Faamba. He'll keep tryung stuff and I'll update later.

Idiots. They can retro-nerf the armor off of every droid in existence, but they can't do the same for HAM values. No, of course not, that would HELP their customers.


Now I have to try to figure out whether or not I can sell them at all even at a steep discount, or if I should just destroy all that work AGAIN and just beg SOE to use lube next time.







And my customers wondered why I refused to stock my vendor with Pre-Patch8 Probots and DZ70s... Pre-Patch Paranoia... pays off every time

Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.

Yup, I didn't build anything new really for the last two weeks ... now I've got 4 factories going full blast so maybe tomorrow I'll have a half-decent stock of the new droids.

Actually, no. That's completely not right. The droid is SUPPOSED to bea bonus to YOUR creature harvest and can harvest for you. If you drop your hunting tree, the droid's harvest drops too. The droid's ability to harvest is based on YOUR ability to harvest. The big bonus is that you can have the droid harvesting while YOU are still fighting. Which makes for faster harvesting - you don't have to stop killing to harvest.


Also, I have not yet had a chance to test it, but according to things I've seen posted, the droids aren't subject to the 40% grouping penalty, so if you're harvesting with a couple other people you SHOULD get a full harvest off the droid where you'd only get 60% your normal cut. However, I haven't had a chance to test this yet, or to see if two people can harvest the same corpse with two droids.

Believe me, I'm wondering that too. I need to get a droid made with like a +100 or something. You know, an R3 with six modules in it. And I do need to see if the 1-module MSE harvests less than I do normally. This IS supposed to be a bonus to our own harvesting skill, but I haven't seen a bonus yet. I don't know how these bonuses work.


Someone on the harvest module topic said a +95 would be about a 20% increase in harvesting rates.


If you can have people grouped and two droids harvesting the same corpse in that group without hitting the 40% penalty like a grouped player does, THAT in and of itself would be a huge gain. That's something I'll be testing too.

Harvests: All bone from mountain dewbacks ("medium size"), checked each configuration 3+ times. I am 0030 ranger.

Me harvesting, solo: 44 units

Me harvesting, grouped with creature pet: 44 units

Droid Harvesting, grouped with it and pets: 47 units

Me harvesting, grouped with droid and pet: 44 units

So, that appears to be working correctly, albeit a semi smallish bonus. Droid's harvest bonus rating of 81 led to a bonus of 6.8%.

Trapping:

Module worked as reported. I could load in traps, up to the amount listed on the deed (each individual trap counts as 1 spot, not each stack). Droid seemed to fire a trap every 5 seconds if I queued up more than one, independent of my combat queue. Only allowed me to load 1 type, even with more than one trap module.

According to the DE that was working on these droids for me (thanks J'Vee!), the trapping module *storage* seems to cap out at 2 modules. He got 24 storage for each, so 48 max traps stored. Not sure if there is a bonus to your to-hit of traps or anything for stacking beyond that.

I think that I'll really like having a 4x harvest 2x trap R3 with me whenever I am hunting, loaded up with phecnacine darts, or adhesive mesh. For when I really want to stock up on resources, I might use a 6x harvest module droid as well.

Are people sure that both you and the Droid can't harvest? I know that 2 "people" can harvest the same critter. So are people positive that you and the droid can't both harvest? Grouped and Ungrouped?


Could somebody pelase elaborate on the cluster and socket problem? I'm still leanring DE myself, and since I'm at work, I can't actually "see" what your talking about.

Everyone who has posted about the harvesting module has said that the droid harvesting a corpse counts as if YOU had harvested from the corpse. So in effect, it's not a question of you AND your droid doing it... it's a question of you and YOU doing it, which just doesn't fly.

I am having problems with the entertainer modules, I built myselfa MSE droid with a foam affect module (im a nov ent), but there seems no way of using it, ive read all the info on it, but the 'configure' option isent there, is this a bug or me missing something?

While crafting a Protocol spambot, i forgot to make an adv droid brain and so back paged to the main menu (after i had inserted all the other modules/ resources). Now normally I've had the resources simply return to my inventory when i do this, but while crafting this droid, the adv protocol chasis i had made and colored dissappeared!!! gone from inventory!! I had to make a new one. Has anyone experianced this yet? Has it happened with the default chasis coloring? Any one else unluckly?

OK, just want to make sure I got this right about a scout droid: A DE can place up to 6 scout moduls in the droid, and the sum of these gives a bonus to myharvestingskills, which only kicks in if the droid does the harvesting. So if I kill a creature and harvest from it, I get x*y resources, where x is the base harvest, and y is my harvesting skill, but if my scout droid harvests, I get x*y*z where z is the droids bonus to harvesting, which is greater then 1. It is not possible for both of us to harvest from the same critter, nor is it possible for an non-scout to use a scout driod.


Did I miss anything?
