Thread: Probot 990 HAM, 100 120 Damage, 1.5 Attack Speed, and 0.35 To Hit

These are the stats of the Adv Probot that I just finished crafting.
I was able to produce a 100% Effectiveness Experimented Adv Probot with a Combat Rating of 524.
I verified both the HAM value and the Damage value as best as I can, against a Huurton.
The base HAM value that I recieved before experimentation started was 927 @ 30%. I plan on running a few different tests on other droids, but the change to the Probot looks really promising.
The not so great news is that Armor still appears to be borked at this time, but QA has alerted the DEV team and we should have an answer to this problem within the next few days...I hope.
That's great, and what we need.
Good thing I hadn't finished taking your advice to "stock up" on Droid Deeds.
The chasis are finished, guess I won't be deeding them until post-patch.

Does this news help you to believe that the little gnorrts are not always evil gnorrts?
....just curious.

No.
Because I never thought gnorrts were evil.
However, I do not believe that gnorrts are inherently good either.
I just call the gnorrts like I see them and don't buy into gnorrt rhetoric.

But Jenden..how can you say its not 'that much more expensive'..it looks more expensive to me by quite a bit. Please explain your thinking here
Thanks
Its not too heavy on the resources as was mentioned (don't have the numbers on me but I think its somewhere total around 100 resources) and droid brains aren't something that I'm ever really short on. I generally have a good 1000 of them laying around at any time. This will just add 2 factory runs a week or so to my schedule (figure one for the combat modules and one to replenish the brains), so its not really any more expensive time-wise. It could be a pain in the ass if they are 240s timers like drashk said, but I can deal with that.
oh i know, i was asking what bar he experimented on to raise the HAM in test center?

This is the new publish that is currently on Test Center. This won't be on Live servers for a couple weeks at least.

whew! and im sorry, still new to this and cant see much change on the probots im building..what do u have to experiment to raise HAM?

On the Live servers, it is the middle field, below the ever-ambiguous "durability". The two options are effectiveness and efficiency, I believe. Best way to test would be to craft an MSE with high resources and experiment in both.

With these new "combat modules", has there been a change in required resources? What should we be stocking up on?
So, there aren't really "new" combat droids. They're just beefing up Probots. Great! Hey, SOE, thanks for completing the circle.
lol, where have you been for the past 2 months?

Jenden, I see your logic, but as always your logic is based only on your own gameplay and style (not to mention vast experience and resource stockholding.
Please consider other styles of gameplay, the people who craft droids individually to custom orders..which is in fact the majority of DE, even if some of them do use some crated subcomponents.
In this case, as Audio says, Time and Cost are significant - not everyone is a heavy industrialist eh?
If they aren't, they soon will be.

On the back-and-forth balance of the stats/abilities of the TC Probot, we need to bear in mind the larger combat HAM adjustments and how those will play into what happens on Live. On TC reports, we likely can't always rely on all things being equal to where they are now (and where they will be eventually). So, that makes this something of an apples and oranges comparison.
The new numbers sound great. The real matter is how they fit into the larger scheme of things down the line and how they relate to other combat changes.
One thing to remember here is how DEs can work together (
For example: Since the new Probots will have new parts to deal with, it's a perfect time to buddy up lower and higher level DEs. The Master contracts out module builds to the lower-level guy (at wholesale pricing) and everyone can make out.
It's been mentioned many times that lower-to-mid level DE play is very arduous and quite taxing (and, boy, don't us Masters know it). That being said, some ofthe coming changes present a great opportunity to help alleviate this. Unity, in that regard, will be a great and useful thing for us all.

The only problem that I see with this play style is that as Experimentation has more of an impact on the droids that we craft, less Masters will want to rely on Novice built parts. The mechanism quality of the Droid brains used in a Combat module does not seem to play a role in the combat modules, currently, however this could change down the line.
One of the challenges about being a crafter is how you make use of your time. The more successful crafters are 9 times out of 10 the ones that utilize the use of at least 1 full time factory. I'm not saying that this is the only play style, but for those of us who try to do things as efficiently as possible, factory parts are the only way to go. Take it from someone who was more then likely the first to make a run of 100 Combat modules ![]()
