Thread: Holocrons?

Just wondering what exactly these are, where i get em and how i use em. Also when people refer to "Grinding" does it just mean going out and training, or is it something in perticular? thanks.

holocrons are old hat, and soon to be quit worthless other than decorative purposes or nostalgia value
they were originally the "path to the Jedi"
whereas you had to master a certain number of unknown proffesions, and the holocrons told you the first 4 you needed.....
this however is being taken out of the game, and a new path is being implemented in Publish 10
so to start the holocron path this late in the game would be quit pointless, but they are still neat to have around....
I got 4 in my house hanging on walls or on tables
Oh, 1 more thing.....I have heard rumors that holocrons may have a new use after Publish 10, but as far as I know.....these are unconfirmed

Grinding; Targeting one profession, and working soley and continuesly for the XP to master it. Sometimes, with the assistance of a macro, you can do this while AFK. Any profession can be grinded, though some are tougher than others.

I heard a rumor that a holocron will add you in injury recovery, etc. in P10.

I think what the devs actually said was thet Holocrons would still havea use in the future....
I've heard rumours that jedi will be able to use them for healing their force power bar.
Just rumours.

Annoying semi-on-topic point:
Looted Holocrons can be dropped
The Holocron you get from the Dantooine Jedi cannot. I have a Noise Maker Trap in my house called "A Holocron would be here, but I CAN'T DROP IT".

There is a chance the ONLY use for a holocron will be purely to entertain and make money from selling, or keep and have the pride of a ownign a rare item.

Have they been useable between publish 9 and 10? I have a silent one and I was wondering if it works anymore, and I have done 4 of the 5 holo profs or is it just silent because the devs disabeled them?
