Mini-Tailor Factories, often times i get asked for a few suits that all match and when that happens i keep on thinking about how nice it would be to just make a schematic for 3-4 of one item and toss them into a droid and just crank them out. *shrug* just me though oh and a personality chip for my R2's and R3's so they beep, whirr, and whine at me =]

It's always struck me as peculiar the treatment that the DE's get from the devs of SWG. I'm not a DE myself, but I follow your trials and tribulations.

It seems to me, and I admit speculation here, that the devs have balanced all the classes, or were in the process of balancing all the classes, and simply forgot about DEs. Now when they try to bring DEs into the loop, the devs realize that all that other work will be out of whack.

So, rather than tear down the house that has one too few rooms and start over (ie, rebalance with the DEs in mind this time), they're trying to shoehorn DEs into it. That's why I don't buy TH's checkers analogy either. The analogy would work if DEs had been originally invited to the checkers game. But as I see it, everyone else was playing checkers, while the DE profession was playing UpWords. How can you invite the DEs into a game that's already started? Well, you can't. That's what were seeing now. Were also seeing avoidance of the real problem as I see it-- a rebalnce of all professions, with the DE profession included this time.

BAH, what happened to my edit privilages??? Oh well, what else is new.

I wanted to add to my previous post that not only a rebalance of all professions, but a rebalance of the entire GAME with DEs included this time.

Nope this isn't funny this is sad. The astromech droid was always a technical assistant droid and R2-D2 was a very special droid wich developped some intelligence. Thisbecause Anakin and Luke never erased his memory so he developped some kind of intellect and was able to use his tools as weapons to defend himself and his master.

what ideas are being thrown around for the prerequists for the droid commander profession? if it is DE then we sell droids to our selves?? If im a master DE and you throw in a combat tree how will my skills change will i lose a tree and have to start over or will my works leveling be comenpasted somehow? CH prerequistes i think would not suit a droid commander --scout --nothing to do with droids so make it artisan if anything eng and surveying ??? not sure it has to come from somewhere

any chance of seing those SW episode I and II droids and combat droids with shields and lasers? they look much more like combat droids to me than those probot drones
