I just read a post on the Jedi forums. Some BH DID get a holocron telling him to Master DE. Says he's already grinded to Novice. 
Personally I think the system is misleading. I just can't imagine being told which profession to master, it sounds too communistic. I would like to get a holocron and find out what it says, but as much as I want to play a Jedi I doubt I would follow its instructions.

I can't give you many tips, but I'll tell you that Droid Engineering is going to be a liiiitle different than Creature Handling and Fencing. You're going to have to seriously grind to get Master DE (even if youfind yourselfhaving the upmost fun with making and trying to sell them ).
The question for you is, will you surrender Master DE after you get there ifa newly found holocron tells you a new path? I hope not, droids are too fun

I have already have it planned out. I am going to master DE. Won't be long another play session since I am 4434. Then I am off to become a master rifleman, ranger, squadleader. If the points workout.
I'm a master DE, and always will be!
When I get a hankering to be a jedi master, I pick up my XBOX controller and play KoToR. I don't have to stand on one foot, forget my skills, and learn to be my neighbor, to be a jedi in THAT one. hehe.. 
I largely think SOE has outdone themselves on the "humiliate their customer base"-o-meter this time! It seems too much like a crowd of people clucking like chickensafter a hypnotist rolls into town. SOE has "hypnotized" the majority of players with dreams of jedi and droideka and they'll defile themselves in any manner necessary to acheive said dreams.
More power to ya! I'm not dropping any skills though.. I'm not holding my breath either.

ok this is makeing me mad... we all are to have the same chance of getting a FS slot but I like my DE and if i sit at home and craft all day how am I going to get my FS slot open... its not right that I need to do other stuff my DE would not do, Iam not a fighter iam a crafter so its just not right, I feel my slot should be open for playing my DE the way he should be.. as a crafter.. Iam not going out on missions all the time going to worlds all over the place looking for tips to get my slot open , but i want to play a FS guy yes, but should not have to make my DE something hes not IE.. a fighter..
well what do you all think???
