Drashk, Will DE experimentation tapes become helpful now? Will the extra experimentaion pts help? or will there be a fix in the future?

Im having problems understanding the data ratings here. If I want to make a level 1 droid I have to experiment the data module just right between 1 and 2 so it works for novices? Or is there something here im not reading correctly?

Nice post guys...I think I got all the particulars..heh

So just to clearify a lvl 1 cert pilot in a z95 could only use a level 1 data module in the droid? but they would be able to use higher ones up to a level 6. The modules stack but you can go over the module rating rendering it unusable by lower pilots. Thus two level 1s could have a rating of a level 2 and therefor would have no real purpose. However for a master pilot 2 or more level 6 modules would provide even more data space. Could additional space be utilized like this and if so is it needed?

Seems like I'll need crates of unprogrammed chips and varying levels of fight computers that much is easy. It's too bad the astromech thing couldnt be a replaceable module for a DE to upgrade.

I guess what this will do is make disposable droids as people level.

Looks like I will be making some low level astromechs for lower level pilots with lower data storage modules

i have a silly question....do droids use battery power in space?

A Level 6 Module provides the highest storage capacity at 150.

No, droids do not use Power in space, nor does the droid need to be charged before using the droid in space

k one last thing ...eh for now heh

the unprogrammed chips and the flight computers dont seem to have any experimentation or quality levels for resources used. Is this because it hasn't been put into the game yet as in i should just wait to make them or they will never have any experimentation so i should just use grinding resources for them?

Both are currently non-experimentable due to not requiring resource qualities. This is as intended, at this time.

Ahh great you answered all my Q's well cept for a couple

oky soo the Data storage lvl is at what ever the modoule rating is,, ex, any lvl data module no mater what the experimention will act as that lvl flight computer, with one exception.. the amount of data storage the module acually holds? Im not sure the exact numbers but say the range on a lvl 4 is 50-80 50 slots forsay a 10% exp and crap resources and 80 data slotsfor a maxed out 99% exp? soo this will act as a lvl 4 and the only difference is the amount of commands or data it can hold? am i getting this right? these numbers are totally random i have no idea what the modules min-max at,, i have just made up till now 12 rated 150 slot lvl 6 data pads.

you also said that flight computers can be used in place of droids so really there is no reason to buy an R and its definatly not worth the extra money? Well i guess unless you get some other module that would be usefull.

R5's with a lvl x data and a 10 item storage to me would be the best most cost effective and usefull droid combo to use as your flight buddy for the average combat guy?or maybe data + surgical.. to make these droids usefull after there data lvl has become obsolete? soo maybe make 10-20 of each lvl R5 for my vendor for the guys that want to spend money? is that pretty much the jist of it? Btw i love making R5's they are one of my best sellers and sooo much easier than R2's to make,, god i hate to make chasis /frown

You said something about dragging commands to the droids data, or flight computer? does that mean when your outta the ship those commands arestored in the droids data pad soo if you call the droid you will see the program in the D-pad when you open it on the droid? Orin the flight computer while flying your ship and the only way to see itis in space or at a starship terminal?

can they be removed, deleted or replaced?

will they get cluttered in with say the 100 schems you have in your astro-mech as a crafter making people with full D-pads on there droid get confused and have trouble reading them?

If you have say 5 different droids in your d-pad.. all with different lvl data modules how do you pick which droid you are using in your ship?

Last but certainaly not least,, i know this isnt in the game,, but wouldnt it rock if you had your R with a repair module be able to acually repair your ship to some degree in battel or while in space..

"R2 I lost my rear shields see what you can do"

thanks for the info. thats all i can think of,,, for now.

R5s may be easy but alot of people are gonna want R2's cause they look cooler in space.

Yup. I prefer the look of the nice rounded dome of an R2 sticking out of my Y-Wing as opposed to blockly look of the R5s or R4s.

The fact that experimentation on a Data Module can increase the lvl of the data module is really annoying .... An experimented lvl 1 module easily becomes a lvl2 (Pilot certification lvl2) as the pilot client asks a lvl 1 module.

It comes from a good idea of giving us something from experimentation but ..... I think every one agree to remove this on data storage modules.
