Thread: Batteries!

I sell each battery, (with 4 charges), at 250 each, or 2500 for a crate of 10.
duncge,
I tend to agree with you. The droid market is NOT going to be helped by this development. I LIKE the idea of droids requiring battery use, stored or not, but with a few caveats:
First: I should be able to purchase (honestly it should be a standard item) a POWER INTERFACE for my home, that will let me recharge droids around my house without anything extra. It's really stupid that I can't get an AC adapter! There's a small power core in my home, surely it can power my droids.
In fact, my droids should be smart enough to seek and use the nearest usable power coupler when they encounter a low power situation.
Then I need the droids to run at least half an hour, but preferably a full hour on a single charge.

If players try to make excessive profits on a consumable like batteries then yesit will put people off. If people are sensibe with their prices then it should be no different than buying stims.
If batteries were only needed as a consequence of taking action, I'd tend to agree with you.
But as it stands, I can tame a brand new droid, start dealing with a customer, and having him telling me 'low power' by the time I get around to teaching him how to patrol around the house.

Droid without battery can still move around and follow you = no power needed
Droid with battery and only follows you and the battery dies shortly after = power used
They should have like a charge system where each time you treat an injury or something it drops the power 5% or something. I'm sure I would be using batteries fast with a charge system cause I'll know I'll be using it. With the way it is now I don't want to toss a battery in when I know I'll be only using it 2 minutes of the charge and the rest seeps away cause the droid is just sitting.
Tailors should be able to make pink bunny suits with a drum for the power droids too. ;-)

Only if we can attack them. ![]()
*goes back to trying to pawn off crates of MSE's for skeet shooting*
