That's pretty much what is sounds like. If so, you know (I hope you do) that there's no such thing as 'unification' for any profession in the game....no matter how few people play it.
There have always been too many viewpoints, opinions, ideas and 'visions' on the DE boards for us to get a unified voice an ANY issue, save two.
1) We really liked Sintrosi as our Correspondent.
2)We didn't want a Droid Handler profession just so we could get our "Droid Invasion".
Any other topic is very likely always going to have it's different schools-of-thought.
I understand why you're calling for a single voice on our opinions and views. That would basically entail that we create a droid plan that addresses EVERYONE'S concerns and wishes.
Come on, fish. You know that's not possible (but I applaud the gumption behind it...it just needs to be done differently).

Heh, seen through the simple attempts at a startup. Yes, I chose the poll for the reason taht it would be (supposedly) an easy first step in unification. But sadly may have made it a little too vague (being the original goal, but too much is a bad thing)
If no one is listening then make them listen. Sitting down and accepting the situation because you feel it is hopeless or that no one is listening is what has made DE the relegated profession that it currently is. At this point ifthe DE communitydoesn't demand clearly, loudly, and constantly for new content it will never happen.
Or I could be off the mark. Perhaps this is the dream of the DE community and mydelusions have led me astray. But if it isn't, at this point, what have you got to lose? How much would it hurt to start saying "We demand you come through with the droid invasion!" "We want what was promised to us, and what we have continued paying for because of it!" Obviously the message will change and focus itself down the road, but now, are you interested in doing that? Yes or no is the only answer I seek.
Name a different way of doing this and I'm all ears 
You know my reasoning (or my madness) behind it all... but regardless of my motives, when you have nothing to lose why not see what you can gain? The visions are immaterial as the main goal, the DH profession that 90%+ didn't want, has already been taken care of. Now it falls back into the developer hands to come up with the best way to proceed.

how many people have started leaving because of this (myself included)? How many have already walked? How many more can they afford to lose? There's the point. At this time it is damage control, not profit-gain.

I believe that Drashk indeed is doing a marvelous job, has been burned far more than he deserves (including by me at times) and has the closest voice to the Devs. But the correspondent system has already been proven to be ineffective and the voice alone is not loud enough.
But fine.. you're right, I quit. I have one month left in the game. DE has been the only thing I've cared about here and I have done, all I try to do is to see this profession reach top marks. But if you're happy with the situation then I'll leave it be. Enjoy DE, I hope you get more out of it than I did.
That is indeed a good suggestion, the likes of which I was hoping to organize up. If you think I was endevouring on a giant week-long flame war on the boards, then I apologise for giving that impression. I try to hold a little more dignity when I perform propoganda work.
But it doesn't particularly matter if the community here isn't interested. *shrug* I'm sorry.
