Thread: Call for DE work Stoppage, DO NOT MAKE OR SELL SEEKERS OR PROBES
I don't remember who organized it, but there was an 'event' on testserver not too long ago where droid engineers from different servers gathered at a particular spot to protest...I have no idea how it went.
But whatever. If you think striking will get you heard, I can't exactly ask anybody to stop considering the pathetic direction things are going in. I wont but I completely understand you for doing it.

I am not a DE i am a BH. I depend on DE's to produce my droids or guess what i am screwed. Not the devs, not the DE's, not anyone but the BH's. If this really happens i wouldn't be suprised if the vendors started working again to make up for the lack of DE's willingness to be part of the game.
DE's willingness to be part of the game? ROFL you have to be kidding me. **edit** off
Yeah, I have the habit of replying to people who agree with me with re-iteration sometimes.
I was going to write another post saying I understood you agreed, but I decided against it.
I made another bad decision - kind of like choosing DE apparently.
I think that some of the DEs are missing the core economics of this change.
For the same materials that you were making a single seeker, you now make five.
Where before a BH would wince to pay 600c for those materials, you will now find us willingly paying 1000-1500. Easily doubling your profit per build.
Where before you would spend time struggling to keep up with demand, you will now find yourself more able to supply droids to all your BH customers, make double the profit per build and still have time to do other things in game besides crafting droids.
*shrug* Sounds like a win-win to me. Look at it like this.
Say you can make 10 seekers a night.
Pre-Change:
10 seekers at 600c each = 6000c and maybe 1 BH customer order filled.
Post change:
10 seekers at 1500c each = 15000c and 5 BH customer orders filled
Yeah...I can see how this will hurt the poor DEs. You have the choice of more profit or more time to explore/hunt because of this change. What a poor position to be in. DEs have been granted full control of the only non-stagnating crafting market in the game.
i haven't yet decided.. though if i stop i'll stop selling everything..
not a good idea imo. making the bh's lives harder will do nothing for us. they are not the source of our problems. and as stated above, IF this was actually done, the droid vendors would be back in faster than you can say bantha poodu. what we did today in the discussion board was huge. they know we are here, they now we're pissed. now its up to them. nothing we do will help beyond what we've done. just my opinion.
*holds cigerette to the flame*
Believe me - it will help you the first time you turn down a BH order too.
They will be MUCH less likely to flame you if they find out you are on strike because of the general state of droids rather than just what happened with the seeker/arakyds.
Not that flames would be very effective at the moment...but it helps relieve stress here and there. Perhaps you could still serve some existing customers to make some money during the strike - just let them know you will take no new customers because of whatever reason, and they will still grasp the situation.
