Thread: Storage Droids
From what i remember he has a 125% med mod on him. I was hoping it would help me heal with woundpacks in camp while i'm dancing.... i'm not quite sure how the whole thing works ... can ya tell?

Don't buy droids until you know their capabilities. If your DE can't or won't take the time to explain things, it's not a bad idea to find another.
Droids with medical modules, for instance, cannot heal anyone on their own. They can, however, allow a medic/doctor to do wound healing in the field. With a maxxed-out medical module (110% is the very highest we can do, and most mid-to-upper-level DEs can do 110%) wound healing and buffing and such are slightly more effective than in a medical center (which is by default 100% rating).

It was all due to my own stupidity and lack of knowledge concerning droids. My DE explained all of it to me and offered an even swap for 2 R2 units for said surgical droid. Then, since so many people on Tempest are the coolest i have yet to meet, he told me that since he was not available to explain this to me before the purchase, that in return for me sending all of my droid seeking friends to his shop, i could keep all three units at the original purchased price. I just about fell over !!! I still have no use for the surgical droid, but it is a top notch unit from what i have been told. And hopefully my rlso will be joining me on Tempest soon with the addition of a new computer in our house, and he is wanting to start a medic profession. So I guess all things happen for a reason.
The name of this wonder DE is Ikeith. He is located outside of Coronet, Corellia,in the Tempest Gallaxy. Should you be on Tempest and searching for a driod or any information about driods, he is a wonderful business man. I highly recommend him. He went to great lengths to make sure that I left a happy customer, even though the error was my own fault.

And the maximum storage is ten items.
How do storage droids work? In particular, if I placed one in my house would that increase the amount of storage I would have or would it just help to organize my stuff like backpacks do?
Also, if there's any DE's on Scylla with available storage droids, please let me know.
Thanks.
You can't just "place" a storage droid in your house. You call it from your datapad, and it will sit in your house and stay there if you give it the stay command, but will disappear back into your datapad when you log out. So no, it does not give you a permanent extra 10 spaces of storage for your house.
What it does give you is extra storage space for yourself. Since the storage spaces are in your datapad, they do not count against your 60-item maximum storage until pulled out of the droid and transferred to your inventory. Five droids with the maximum of 10 items each for storage would therefore give you an extra 50-item storage! Plus, spices and sliced weapons can still be stored in the droids and are not detectable by the Imp scanners, and items do not decay when stored in the droids when you die and have to clone.
Sorry, didn't realize I was still logged in with my alt, Skybo. It's so confusing sometimes!
but "he" is right, even if being a Master Doc/comb medic doesn't look like he has the credentials. lol
