I'm glad you asked that. I've been playing since Beta and never knew droid storage prevented decay and detection. Very useful info.

This is probably a ridiculously noob question, but anyway:

How do storage droids work? In particular, if I placed one in my house would that increase the amount of storage I would have or would it just help to organize my stuff like backpacks do?

Also, if there's any DE's on Scylla with available storage droids, please let me know.

Thanks.

Put simply, a storage droid increases the amount of personal storage (i.e.: on your character), that you can carry around, by a maximum of10 items. After you call the droid from your datapad, you can then open it's storage compartment using the droid's radial menu and store items within it. When the droid is loaded in this manner, those ten items do NOT count against your overall carrying capacity.

- Account: Master TKA (cancelled)
- Account: Master Doctor (cancelled)
- Account: Smuggler (cancelled)

- Account: Master Droid Engineer (activity suspended pending developments)
Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.

You can only call you droid in you house if it is declared PUBLIC. This is a silly limitation.

Can storage droids hold more than 10 items or is that the max?

lv6 storage holds 10 as posted above, its one unit that cant be stacked. only way round it is have couple cheap droids with lv6 storage in since you can hold 5 droids at any one time, but of course only have one out at a time.

So let me ask a noob question. What is the real point of using level 6 Item Storage modules? I am a master DE, and to be honest about 3 weeks after the patch, the droids seemed to die off again, which was nice for a while, but I had a request to make a droid that could hold storage. Me being stupid wasted the time, money, and resources to put level 6 modules in there, but made no difference in the max storage amount, so is this just for something else?

I believe the Lv 6 Item Storage modules are for those droids where you want to cram in alot of modules into them. Eg: R3s with Item Storage, Data Storage, Med Crafting, etc etc.

If the modules aren't an issue, then even 2x Lv 4 Item Storages modules can hold 10 items in an Advanced MSE Droid. I sell these for about 3k a pop and they have been my side income for 2 months now. Pretty decent even for someone who isn't an MDE.

There is no reason.

I have crates of lvl 3's and they max out that laughable 10 item limit nicely.

We really do need to get a list of these "known" bugs stickied in this forum...since I don't know of them.
