I put my name forward.
I might be willing to take up the cause again.

Folks, if ya don't know Tyim, you havn't been around long enough
He's the original creator of the buglist that now bears my own name.

Maybe now that he no longer has to be politically correct, we can get the old TK back! That would be a hoot!
That doesn't help the situation....I hope that's been shown already.
Now...if DC gets released and it's a trainwreck? Yea. I might have a problem with that.

Respectfully,
True. But some of your old post were alot of fun to read.

I vote just leave the position vacant for 6 months to a year until whoever takes the job actually can get the attention to get something done like get droid decay implemented so it doesn't render everything added to DE impotent.

Well, to be honest, there's not a whole lot for the DE Correspondent to do in the short term. We're way way way down the queue for changes. JTL, combat rebalance, Hutt Casino, etc., etc., etc. So whoever takes the job is gonna spend a whole lotta time with their thumb up you know where.

I also completly disagree. You know those combat droids we build? Yea, those are going to need to be looked at in the frame of the combat balance as well.
In fact, I'd go as far to say that we need a strong correspondant for the time of the combat balance sandbox.

I vote just leave the position vacant for 6 months to a year until whoever takes the job actually can get the attention to get something done like get droid decay implemented so it doesn't render everything added to DE impotent.See, its all those other things like the combat rebalance, JTLS, Hutt-Casino, etc that we need a correspondent looking out on the droid angle of things for. There's always places that new droid abilities can be inserted to fill some small gap instead of altering existing systems or giving the ability to an NPC. For example, during the GCW revamp we need a correspondent to see how we can implement faction specific droids, or droids for faction base defense. For the combat rebalance we need a correspondent to make sure droids do fit in to their equation somewhere.Even if its something that doesn't directly effects droids/DE's a good full group of correspondents is needed for general player information. If the devs come up with some wacky idea they want to bounce it off of a small group of players that are in touch with the community before they bring it up to the community at large. This is a lot less time consuming and a lot cleaner than massive forum polls and concept threads. You save those for ideas that pass the initial review.
Well, I think whoever takes the DE Correspondent position is gonna find that the DEV's are gonna do what they want to regardless of feedback. After the outcome of the DE hybrid solution, you have zero percent chance of convincing me otherwise. If you want to be the next one that bloodies himself against the wall, more power to you. It really doesn't matter anymore. Just my opinion Jenden, but if I were you I'd save my energy and apply for the position 6 months to a year from now when you won't be speaking into the void. Cause right now, the lights are on but nobody is home and we just have to hybernate and wait out the dark age.
