Why all the Droid Engineer bashing? Why do you assume Droid Engineers can only succeed with decay? Why do you assume TK421 quit on a sour note. I applaud him for stepping down while he is still fresh with ideas and recognized thatburnout was setting in. DE will be in good hands.
Why can't you just have fun making droids? I have only been aDE for a short time. (I made him when I reached padawan. I needed to do something besides kill animals all day and night during the boring, no fun, no brain,Jedi grind).
I love DE!!! I definetly don't do the volumeof some of the other crafting professions, but I do get orders on a steady basis. I am always busy doing something, whether it be looking for resources, manufactruing components, stocking my vendor, etc. I could care less if I don't make a ton of credits. Thats not why I do it. THis is my second run at DE, I tried it at launch, and it sucked. I gave up before I really understood how factories, vendors, experimenting worked. I decided to give it another go and am glad I did.
In fact, I could go as far as to say I am having more fun than ever playing SWG. Crafting is a blast, I wish I had done it sooner. Instead I wasted months (8 of them) grinding Jedi. I holomastered ever crafting profession, not bothering to stop and take a look at how fun it is to sell. I wish I had. I reallywishI hadnever opened that Christmas Holo.
So, don't bash DE because droids don't decay. Maybe that will be addressed down the road, I don't disagree with that. But for now, know that some of just love to craft droids.

I'd vote myself but all of the old guys that I hung out with here are gone so no one knows me
Oh, c'mon now VH. How could we forget the guy who started the thread that got us a formal apology from an SOE dev?

Amazing. Truly amazing.
Not, to flame, well, ok maybe a little,,,
But uh well, no offense, but there's a lot of difference between a diletante hobbiest and a professional, as far as needs and goals go.
As an architect, who also has SERIOUS problems withourfinite market, I can certainly sympathize with my DE brothers.

Some "Classic" TK in there too
It was neat to stroll down memory lane there for a sec and read some of the names.

Maybe now that he no longer has to be politically correct, we can get the old TK back!
That would be a hoot!

Ugh. Why would I want to go back to being venom-tongued?

That doesn't help the situation....I hope that's been shown already.
Now...if DC gets released and it's a trainwreck? Yea. I might have a problem with that.

You know, it's funny that you say that. Just with various discussions we've had in the recent weeks, it really feels like he's itching to lash out with some good old fashioned "TK-breakdown" posts....
....to which several of us (myself included) have blatantly ripped off his style on more than one occasion.
(I think he knows what I mean
)

Ahhh yes. The wonderful Doughbacca "Break-Downs". Some of the finest posting ever made by a DE. I don't think we really have a need for it right now, but it'd be nice to see it from a "Blue Glowie".
Hmmmm...now that you mention it...I seem to have seen a few of those lately.
