So it is 45 at a time not 45 total. that is a little more sane... It still doesn't seem fair. What are the reasons for this? Is this the dev's idea of adding a challenge to the crafting skill boxes. Are they saying to themselves, "crafting is a mindless grind, so lets make the crafters compete for their rewards so they can have a challenge". If that be the case, then me thinks that someone making the high level design decisions for this game is either sick and twisted, or just a fool. /target man_responsible; /grumble; /curse
I honestly don't know why it was added.
Unless the server has a huge load, I really don't see this as being a gating issue, since only the crafters will be the ones to pick up the quest, since you need at least Novice Artisan to participate. Access to the quest itself is semi-gated to many crafters since you need some small amount of combat to even gain access to the Village, even if through the use of a combat droid.
I like a bit of the competative nature of the quest, however I think that since it takes so many Resource Containers to even compete and the way that the items are required makes this competition a little harsh, for the person who wants to collect different items in the game. I've got close to 400 Resource Containers in stock atm on TC, yet I'm still worried that its not going to be enough to 'win'. I really would hate to see what its going to be like on Live...not that I would want to even give that a go ![]()
Well, the drops aren't as abundant as normally aquired resources so I would suggest a price range of 200-500 credits each. TC is pretty lucky to have lower prices then on a Live server, but with the higher number of people participating in the quests I would think that this should be a reasonable price range. The only thing that I suggest is that you offer anyone running the combat missions either a free droid, or some other service to compensate them for any resource containers that they can give you. Then again, I've always been more inclined to the barter system.

As far as the loot resources are concerned we shouldn't pay anymore than 10-15 cpu for them. 6 star resources don't even go for that much. So I plan on shouting at the village will pay 10-15 cpu for edrine, etc... If we all stick to a range they won't be able to sell for 6000 cpu and will sell for something reasonable instead of trashing them for nothing.

Drashk, so you are saying that we need about 700 (there are 7 different types right?) for each phase? 100 of each type. So like 1400 total?
There are 5 different types of Resource Containers. You will need about about 100 of each type per phase, only if you are trying to compete with the other crafters to get the 2 special reward items.
For Phase 2, there are 3 crafted items that require 20 of each Resource, if I remember correctly. These schematic will create a Refined version of the 20 Container types and can accept a Refined Resource Container of the same type to increase its quality. You should be able to produce a Refined Resource Container with a 1000 Quality, if you are a Master Artisan or have at least 10 Artisan experimentation points, by crafting a Refined Container and using it in a secondary build. This equals out to 40 resources used and will give you one of the 10 items that you need for this Phase.
If you just concentrate on Quality parts of both Phases, you should be able to 'win' the reward items for both Phases, however it will require that you find a lot more Resource Containers.
If you aren't interested in trying to compete for the reward items, you can complete Phase 2 with 200 Resources of the same type, total. This is equal to 10 crafted items that require 20 Resource Containers each. I believe the Resource Containers that you can craft into Refined Resource Containers are Ardanium II Energy, Endrine Ore, and Rudic Ore. I'm not 100% sure on this, since its been a few weeks since the last time TC was on Phase 2.
Phase 3 can be completed by turning in 50 Endrine Ore.
If all you are concentrated on doing is completing both Phase 2 and Phase 3, without competing for the Item Rewards at the end of the Phases, it will only require 200 of Ardanium II Energy, Endrine Ore,ORRudic Ore (if these are the correct Containers used to craft a Refined Resource Container) and 50 Endrine Ore for a total of 250 Resource Containers.

I like the idea of a competitive aspect too in theory, but this sort of competition is akin to getting the "held the record for a day at racetrack X" badge, where the first person to arrive at the track after the server resets usually gets the badge. ![]()
Either way, I'm definitely oppossed to the notion that the crafting professions have to compete for their loot but the combat professions don't have to compete for theirs. By what twist of logic is that the least bit fair?
