Thread: Are droid engineers really jerks
There was a time where i had two macros specifically for MSE droids:
one was /release
the other was /transfer
I'd either release 50 all at once to have a sea of beeping MSE droids around me, or I'd tame, target the nearest player, and transfer it to them. This was long before /practice was available.
Well i guess the majority has spoken. The state of the droid engineer sucks so much that higher prices are the only way to survive i guess. Anda mouse droidis definitely a waste of time for a master droid engineer. Sorry guy from valcyn ( cant remember your name right now ). You are right, I am wrong.
GenAkbar,
You won't give away an MSE with a crafting station in it. Not if you're smart. We aren't talking about an empty MSE. I think all of us would give one of those away or for 100 credits.
Please read the thread again.
First of making a mouse droids with a crafting station takes nothing to do. I make them for all my guildies that craft. I am a retired Master Droid Engineer I can make droids I am not a merchant. 5k for a crafting droids is something I would expect from a poor person. I made alot of cash getting to master if someone asks for a mouse with a crafting station I am happy to do it if someone asks me to make a r3 with anything I tell them to find someone that needs the money. It is not a matter of functionality in this case it is a matter of economics the droid maker needed the cash maybe his last heavy blew up. I feel sorry for people that have to charge so much to provide so little.

Now when you release them they just disappear correct? The transfer idea is great though you can really grief with that, well not that bad I guess.
Remember hearing about how people had too many pet-control devices on their data-pad? Previously, you couldtransfer an unlimited amount of droids to a player.

Sure, you can apoligise...But you know what?...You posted a thread on this issue, and just to remind you, titled it 'Are droid engineers really jerks'...You didn't even see me as a businessman, you thought I was being a jerk about it all when I really was polite to you...
I'm sorry, but I have no respect for you as a person and least of all a Droid Engineer...
I can see a cause for a DE to charge 5k for any crafting station droid. Most will come in and ask for a mouse because they dont wanna waste there money buying any other droid. We need to make our money to. Harvesters dont pay themselves. Ive had to pretty much close up shop and hunt to pay my harvesters. Otherthan bounty hunters there arent many return customers.
Honestly, i don't see what the big deal is, throw a crafting station onto an MSE? that's something I'd do and just charge 500 for, it's quick to do. Really, overcharging just because the class bites?

Whats the point of being a master de if all you do is sell mouse droids to everyone for 500. Everyone will buy the mouse with the top modules to save money. Whats the point of being a crafter if your not going to make enough to take care of your harvesters. Not everyone has a combat class to go run missions when there not selling anything.
man, everyone undercuts everyone. if someone is selling a MSE /w crafting station for 5k, his prices are 5k, it does not make him a jerk. example:
I remember when 28.8 modems came out, they were $200 at one place, $120 at another. a year later i went back to the place that was selling for $200 apiece, not many of em sold. if they sold any, they made $80 more than the other, but sold less. maybe they evened out, maybe they didn't care about someone undercutting.
you'll always find someone willing to undercut someone else, especially if they're grinding away and want to make a quick 500cr - 1000cr from you instead of doing it in test mode. whereas established people need money, so they can buy your stimp packs you sell for outragous prices (to us droid engineers).
