I reall am tired of everyone pricing droids so low. You're killing the entire droid industry in the game! Some of our resources we have to compete with Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths for, for crying out loud! Selling droids at 1cpu is impossible when you have to buy some stuff at 20+cpu!

I absolutely refuse to lower my prices, and in fact am debating on increasing my prices to around 40 or 50 cpu! There's no sense in spending an hour or two crafting a droid to sell for 20k!

I've been a master DE for almost a year. I've had to buy or have guildmates provide me with resources as my lots are devoted to the guild hall. It's impossible as a DE to harvest everything you need when you need so much space for all of the parts. And apparently you've never timed it to figure out that crafting an adv r3 from scratch with the maxed out stuff takes about 2 hours.

Ok, notice I have never posted here. How ever I have been a master DE for about 4 months now and I just had to add my thoughts to this. I have read thru this thread and it would seem that many are forgeting something very importent.
Yes! the flight computers and UDCM's will end up being " a dime a dozen " this is inebatable. How ever the astromech will still keep a high price because they can be made to multi task, example= (depending on the level type)data storge, item storge, so on and so on.
In other words we need to keep in mind the higher the module count per R-unit level the more versatile it is and the higher the price should be for it.

Well it seems I am a minority on this. It becomes more and more apparent that we are not designed to make money on these items. Yes 1k is technically a profit, but it wont even buy a travel ticket.

So now I am stocking them as convieniance items. FC's will be 1k and Astros 5k.

Urggggg...so much h8 for people undercutting the market. I just decided to move my vendor out of the town I am in because some jerkasaurus decided that it would be a "smart" idea to sell everything including r3's under 10k!!! I mean honestly some people just have no clue. I'm tempted to buy all his droids and just destroy them all. This is the same type of person that will be seeling Flight comps for 100credits. So much anger and hate right now.

I try to stick to the resource * complexity rule. Add up the resources and multiply by the complexity. Do the same for any sub parts and add it all up then round upto the nearest 25 cr. My droid prices seem to often come in close to what others "recomend". havn't worked out all the computers yet, but an L1 computer uses 68 resorce and has a complexity of 15 giving you 1020 rounded up gives you 1025cr. Droid comand modules are 40*22=880 plus 240 (memory module) = 1120 rounded up 1125cr. A basic R5 with an L1 data module comes in at 6150cr

AIEEEEEE....

so now i see what brought about Straker's other post. I must say, I'm dis-enheartened by some of my fellow DE's here. This is a great change for us to bring a new product to the market at "FAIR" value.

Currently, I plan on charging

v1 FC = 10000

v2 FC = 25000

v3 FC = 50000

V4 FC = 75000

v5 FC = 100000

v6 FC = 150000

unprogrammed Command chips

5000 / 1

22500 / 5

110000 / 25

I figure this way novice DE's can sell the easy item on the market for 5-6K undercut me, yet still make good money so they can advance.

I sold 1 crate of 25 command chips today. They'd been on my vendor for less than 12 hours, so 110,000 is a good price for SOMEONE out there.. probably quite a few more in my mind.

Sure we can undercut each other, and try to think "hey volume.. that's the ticket" but that's wrong.. ther's a finite amount of droids/parts to sell so for each and every one that can be sold I think we need to get together, and get the best return out of our profession we can.

other pricing

shipwright crafting, 10 item storage, lvl 6 astromech = 100K (sold 5 already)

lvl 1 astromech, with 10 item storage r5 = 50K

/shrug... we'll see how I do.

sorry mate but no way does r3 take 2 hours and ive made enough advanced r3s in my time, A: you have to have crate advanced brains for one thing unless your including factory time for a run of droids not just one,

You post about lots is true and thats where i think lots for guildhall is unfair on who ever places it.

if your short space for parts keep some stuff in equipment factory. i try to keep all my resources in my crafting station but it does fill up real quick which is problem.

But you see, that's the thing. To some people 150k is nothing. If he sells one for 150k, then he equals 150 sales of another DE at 1k. lol.

thats good thing with this game though you can charge what you like if you can sell for 150k then good luck and i am certainly not going to say dont sell for 150k if you can find someone to pay it.

Be intresting to see sales figures for lv6 later on
