i would own a pet, but you have to have 18skill credits spent into scout skills just to feed the dang thing, i need all i can get to get to master DE and still be able to kill the baddies camping my harvesters

I use my laser carbine, medical suplies, and exploration IV burst run for back up when 'running missons'. Crazy me for enjoying a challenge...

I use all those skills plus my ability to own aPeco Pecoto help gaurd me especially when its harvestor time.

I have a Bantha and I plan on having a Dewback when the non-CH limit is increased to 2

Why? Because they are both cool mounts for then it finally gets implimented

yeah, thanks for the condescending comments there falacy...... the big differnce here is that you use your exploration 4 burst run for back up, and I don't run from a fight. besides, anyone can kite a critter with a blaster. not everyone has the grapes to stand toe to toe with something nasty and hack it to pieces with a sword. "an elegant weapon, from a more civilized age" =P

I own a pet. Why not right? Probots have been nerfed to crap so why not help out the most powerful and totally out of balance profession by buying one of their pets?

Rock Beetle - 2200HAM, Light Armor, and high damage....but Probots were too powerfull? Makes sense...CHs didn't have any way to make money so SOE needed to jump through hoops to allow them to make money. Can't upset the CHs...they might whine and cry....waaaahh...I was nerfed so I'm going to quit the game...

But enough of my ranting, point is get a pet before they are nerfed as well. Pretty soon we'll all be running around with drool helmets and foam bats.

I don't own any pets, and I've even refused free ones....It would go against my character's profile...But, I just went extreme with it anyways for my ownhate of creatures...

I'm sick of seeing creatures everywhere...I'm sick of everyone else having creatures..

And for you to be a Droid Engineer and to have a pet yapping at your heels, especially while in combat, shows that we've been defeated by creatures....I wouldn't care if I had to make a probot every 5 minutes for combat, I would never use a creature over a droid....

Let's not forget that we are Droid Engineers, not Droid Handlers. Yes, we can make droids, but that doesn't give us any expertise (or requirement) regarding the use of droids. A similar class is the Bio-Engineer. They can make creatures, but they can't use them any better than anyone else.

I just got a pet the other day. A baby kaadu I named Squeaker. (Though maybe Honker would have been more accurate she may have thought I was making fun of her beak). I got it mainly because I wanted a pet(mainly RP purposes) and I got impatient trying to get nov CH I'm not concerned about taking her into battle.

It's sentiments like your's Deltabob, that will have the Devs do something retarded like introducing Combat droids and a cert system to use them that excludes DEs from being able to use those very combat droids. So we can all sit in our cellars banging out droids for others to play with likea pack of jawas. Yeah, that'll be reeeaallllyy fun.
