Thread: Droid Update!: Today's Launchpad update notes Structure Module fix pushed to Live! (05/12/04)
Runesabre has posted an announcement that they are aware of issues with using factory crated parts and are working to resolve this.
More information and details would very likely be quite helpful.

Respectfully,
OK things I can confirm:
1) It is still buggy! I have made several combat capable clusters each containing 3 level 3 modules rated at 13. Twice the cluster was rated 39, once 13 - so sometimes stacks at this point and sometimes not. I have put two 39's into a r3 advanced and got a 39 rating- so this did not stack. I did and advanced R2 with a 39 cluster and two 13 modules - got 39 rating again.
2) I have not had chance to see how many structures I can register with the droid, will try this first thng in the morning. But there is some inconsistent behaviour with stacking/rating.
3) Not made anything else so cannot confirm any MM and GP bugs etc.
BTW this is on Chimaera
personality chips - both EGP and EMM work
adv droid brains - Neither work
data/storage/med modules - EGPs work EMMs don't
seekers/arakyds - Both work
Well, tried to craft some maintenance modules, old EMM do not appear anymore when crafting...
I also crashed when trying to craft then trying to mail a de mate about it.
Advanced droid brain also seems bugged (do not appear).
So far it's all i've noticed...
Hope they will fix it coz i got a batch of 1000EMM running...

Well it works but the modules don't seem to be stacking. I made an r3 droid with 5 structure maintence 3's (rated 12)
and the final structure rating on the deed registered at 12. I read reports of these mods stacking on test, was
that a bug or are these modules intended to act more like Storage modules and the like....?
best,
I'm having the same issue. Made an MSE with one mod, got a 13 rating. Made an advanced R3 (for myself) with 3 mods, got a 13 rating and can only assign 9 structures to it. Might have been nice if they'd documented this "fix" before we wasted maintenance modules.

It's sounding very much to me like they removed 'stacking' of this module on purpose.
For what reason? I can't say exactly but I'd have to suspect they didn't want the ability to maintain 54 structures in one droid.
In a way, this is fine with me. It means more sales.
Well, much as I love ya, TK -- it's not "fine" with me. For one thing, if they did it, they should have told us about it -- how hard is it to put that in the patch notes or to let you, our correspondent, know?
For another, with the 5 droid cap, those who might really want these (like those who rent lots, e.g., and have a lot of structures to take care of) will need to have multiple droids with this mod in it, and in my experience, people want to max the primary purpose of a droid (eg creature harvesting, entertainer effects, combat) rather than "waste" one slot on a maintenance module.
To me this isn't a /shrug at all -- this is a big deal, and I'm more than a little ticked off. (Happy they got the mod working, but very ticked at the total lack of communication about this nerf/change -- and really ticked that I built a now semi-useless Adv. R3 for myself that I'm gonna have to nuke since I wasted 3 slots and 3 of the new mods on structure maintenance first thing this morning, based on the TC and focus thread report that said these things stack.)

If anyone can get me very detailed info on being able to reproduce this bug, I can help to get it in front of eyes of the Devs ASAP.

Respectfully,
Ok, here's the breakdown of what I experienced:
1) I had an existing crate of level 3 Structure Maintenance Modules, created a couple days after Pub 8 was released.
2) When Pub 8.1 came in, I decided to craft a WED Treadwell with two of these modules. So I crafted it and added the modules directly from the crate they were in.
3) When the droid was assembled (before it was crafted), the information screen with its abilities did not mention any kind of Sutrcture maintenance.
4) After the droid was crafted, I tamed it and reviewed its radial menu. There was no maintenance menu, nor did I have an option in my structures to assign the droid to it.
5) Thinking the Treadwells we just broken in general, I crafterd a standard MSE with a module from the same crate and the same thing happened. No structure maintenance available.
6) For futher experimentation, I pulled a module out of the crate and crafted an identical MSE with it. This gave the MSE the structure maintenance capability.
Hope that helps, TK.
Rune,
Help me out here does that mean Server Restart or the schedule 4 hour maintenance downtimes and where are they posted and how often are they done?
