Thread: Probot Armor...chuck me a bone pls!
Just for us new droid engineers, what are % levels supposed to be for the armor modules?
Armor Level 1 = ?%
Armor Level 2 = ?%
etc...

The problem is that making lvl 6 armor modules isn't possible for non-masters. Stacking 2 lvl4's (or a lvl 4 and lvl3) was a way from those not capable of making lvl 6's to still be able to make the second rating at the cost of needing a second armor slot.
My beef would be the devs not mentioning this if it was intentional.

Armor Level 1 = 15% LIGHT
Armor Level 2 = 25% LIGHT
Armor Level 3 = 40% LIGHT
Armor Level 4 = 15% MEDIUM
Armor Level 5 = 25% MEDIUM
Armor Level 6 = 40% MEDIUM
Doh... at least I focused my production yesterday in medical droids (I can confirm 2 level 4 medical still give you a 110 rating) instead of probots...

So basically, those of us who don't have the specific resources or segments can't make 40% med armor for our droids...Just great.
Well, normally it would be fine and dandy. It's how crafting works, the higher level items require more specific resources and components.
However, this nerf was stealth, which gave people zero time to compensate, not to mention leaving them unaware until people started complaining that their droids don't have the promised armor levels. As I've said before, sometimes I feel as if after every patch/update I should take hours and make every droid with every possible combination of modules - I worry that I'm going to sell bum droids and not even realize it.
Even a week's notice of something like this would give people the ability to at least cope with the change, and not have their business come to a stand-still.
I made hundreds of Probots just before the patch, and tested them today - pre-patch droids are (thankfully!) coming out at M40%, so whatever the change was it is with the calculation of the armor rating and not the ratings themselves.
Have we even gotten a, "Yeah, we acknowledge this change and it was intentional", or a "No, this is a bug"? I'd feel a lot more "positive" if huge profession-wide issues like this got even15 seconds of attention for someone to type one of the above sentences.

I did my own little experiment and here is what I've found:
I had some old Level 4 armor modules crated before the patch. When these were paired together, they produced Medium armor and 40% resists.
If I made new ones, post patch, they produced Medium armor 15% resists.
So it appears to be a problem with the Level 4 modules and not the droids themselves.
(It's a good think I have access to the resources for level 6 armor)
