Yep. It appears that armor isn't stacking since the patch. I'm going to assume it's a bug because otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have droids with two slots. It's not just the probot either. I just made an R4 with 2 level 4s and he's the same way. Medium 15%. I'm going to /bug it. Maybe if we all do they'll look at it before next year.

Folks... it looks as though experimentation is getting worked on. Just like with the medical module, armor modules are having their "level" based on the % experimentation put into them.

So, perhaps everyone is ringing alarm bells because they're still under the impression that their junky material 5% Armor4 modules are (rightly so) junk and are putting out a true Armor4 rating.

I made a couple Armor6's earlier today. Their final ratings were 12... but I watched them increase as my % increased through experimentation... 10, 11, etc..

If you aren't already, it's time to start focusing on using some better materials in your droids and minding the final % experimentation level.

I'm pretty sure that's what's going on here.

Nope. If that was the case, junky level 4s by themselves would be less that 15%. Currently, it doesn't matter if you put in one or two modules, or even what quality they are, you still only get the same result as if you had one module.

Sorry Mate but I used the very best materials and have only high Quality Level 4 armor pieces over 800 ratings I believe got them over 80% I know that much off hand.. and then my next couple I custom made by hand were even better...

So it appears this is some form of new stacking armor bug since the patch.. And not a too lazy to get better materials problem

Yeah, I had to test it myself... 2x Armor4 (highly experimented) = Medium armor @ 15% across the board.

Let me test my Armor6 again.

Personally I was looking forward to a droid Handler proffession.. More sales.. and if I get bored I could always drop some merchant and pistol skills to pick up droid handler .. Ohhhh my army of Droids be sooo cool

Heh, well, only partially.... I stopped stacking Armor4's a couple months ago since my guild armorsmith has granted me composite segments on demand, whenever I want them. I started a run of 200 just this morning.

I just finished my test with Armor6. 99% effectiveness ADV-Probot w/ 1 Armor6 = Medium armor @ 40% across the board.

So, mea culpafor my previous post (though I'm still accurate in stating that they're making experimentation slighly more useful..... slightly). Looks like we should bring this up as a bug, or..... ??

Just made a probot with level 6 armor and it had medium armor 40% resists. So I can verify that. Oh well I am a MDE so I can make them. I just wish I had known beforehand. Plus there doesn't seem to be any advantage to stacking the level 4's you would think it would equal out to something like 25% resists so you could at least differentiate between one level 4 in a droid vs 2 level 4 in a droid. A slight but subtle difference that could mean the difference between a sale.

I really doubt this was intentional. If they wanted to nerf stacking modules, the medicals and everything else wouldn't stack either. There must be bug not recongnizing that second armor slot in droids or something.

Yeah, it's got to be a bug. If they didn't want armor modules to stack, they wouldn't have more than one slot in a droid.

I fail to see what the problem is.....just make level 6s...composite armor segments are dirt cheap(i get them for 3.5k per crate of 50)....Personally, I've never ever stacked lvl 4s becuase it just feels like a cheap way of making them(in fact i stack lvl 6s when theres multiple slots just becuase I can even though theres no benefit that I can see from it at this time).

It's not a cheap way of making them, it was the only sensible way to do so.

I only make Adv Probots, which have two slots. If I don't fill both slots *I* feel cheap.

Those slots, even when filled with two level6 modules, never got stats higher than iftwo level 4 modules were put in.

So logic dictates that since both actions produce the exact same result (or did, M40%), the most cost-effective way to do so was with two level 4 modules, the maximum that can be effective in a droid.

It's obvious that there is a bug with recognizing the second slot.

I have about 600 Probots on vendors right now - and I'm going to be pretty PO'd if when I go in-game to test them they come out as M15% - it's one thing to stealth change NEWLY made items, but if they wrecked my week of factory grinding and resource flushing wrecking my entire inventory I am NOT going to be a happy camper.

So basically, those of us who don't have the specific resources or segments can't make 40% med armor for our droids...Just great.

To the devs: Please begin to use KY, I'm a little sore

Great...now we all need to find some of the RARE ore required for level 6 modules...it usually spawns about one hour after HELL freezes over.
