Drashk,

I'll put forth my versions of "answers" for the items you listed.

Hereis a short list ofexamples of questions that could be considered -

  • Why won't my droid heal me?

No droids have inherent functions for healing players. For a droid to heal, it must have one or moreinstalled Droid Medical module(s) and be used by a player Medic, Doctor or Combat Medic.
When used by a player with medical abilities, the droid will be able to act as a 'portable Med center', such that a player can heal black wounds anywhere (except inside a cantina). Note: A droid must be powered by a droid battery for its Medical module to function.

  • Why isn't my droid's medical module working?

    There are twopossibilities:

    1) You have not used the "Recharge" command to give the droid a battery. If a droid is not powered by a droid battery, its built-in features/modules will not operate.

    2) You do not have any kind of Medic skills needed to take advantage of the installed Droid Medical module. These features are only usable by player Medics, Doctors or Combat Medics.

  • What does "Your droid's customization fades a bit more..." mean?

This means that the 'paint' of your droid's chassis is fading, which is normal. Over the course of some number of'calls' of the droid, the color will change and fade. The number of calls that it will take for you to lose all paint or customization is shown on the droid's info area if you select it in your Datapad.

Note: If the droid has never been painted or customized by a DE with the proper tool, you will still see this message. However, your droid's appearance will not actually change.

  • What is the maxium storage capacity of a droid?

1 million items. (Oops...that's just the exploit I've been using...forget I said that.)

The maximum number of items that can be stored in a droid is 10, currently.

Note: This maximum can only be achieved via the use a Level 6 Droid Item storage module or by 'stacking' 2 Level 4 Droid Item storage modules.

can we please have our known issue list as a document available in game. after all, if its so easy to change the entry, we can quickly remove items as they are fixed.

It would be nice to be able to access that list in game when I get an unusual order im not sure about.

Title it simply. Known Droid Issues

A known issues entry will be created and maintained. We hope to have it in place for Publish 7.

OK, let's try this again .

  • What does a droid crafting station do? Droid crafting modules act as personal crafting stations, like those made by architects. Just like public and private crafting stations, they come in four flavors depending on what you wish to craft : Weapon/General, Food/Chemical, Clothing/Armor, and Structure. They do not eliminate crafting tools nor do they craft for you, they simply allow you access to the additional schematics that require personal crafting stations, as well asallow you to experiment and create manufacturing schematics for production in factories. Multiple types of crafting stations can now be installed in a single droid.

  • How do I use a repair droid? Using the radial menu, "teach" your droid the command you want to represent "repair". With your droid out, select the droid you wish to repair and simply say the command you programmed. The droid you are repairing will say "repaired" over it's head, and it's health (red) and action (green) pools should be fully healed. As you can only have one droid out at time, you cannot currently repair your own droids with this method.

I'm sure there are more to suggest, going through the database now to see what's there.

It's important to note that:

- Droid Repair modules heal only black HAM droid wounds (not white HAM damage)

- This may be getting a 'pass' soon, with the announced addition of droid damage kits.

It is possible that any droid repair-related question would have to be updated when we know how this will work (normally) in the long run.

Yes, that is why I was not specific as to the damage types, simply how to make the function work. Those will need to be added once the functions are actually in game.

But I'm a DE forum goon.... I don't know how to be either positive or constructive! You might as well ask an entertainer for a loan or JustG to be honest! jp

I'd like to see something also added to this that answers everyone's next-favorite related question: "Are DE crafting stations more successful/better at crafting than lvl x placeable ones.

this is going to sound like I am being a smart alleck butone common question I get is:

Do you know how to get this LE Repair droid I just bought to repair something? The answer is difficult to explain, but amounts to "the name of the droid chassis has absolutely nothing to do with what the droid's abilities are. only the modules matter".

I'm not talking about the fact that the repair module doesn't work in this droid, but am referring to the fact that new players expect it to repair something because it has repair in the name even if it doesn't have a repair module in it. The surgical droid has a similar problem. Newbie players expect it to be useful for medical in some way even when it doesn't have a medical module installed.

Right on, thanks.

Having the KB be stocked with a ton of new droid owner questions (on intended-use concerns) will be a huge plus when the changes start to roll.

We need to get this thread stickied, methinks.
