hmm u said u wanna ruin the economy to force the devs to dont bring in DH instead they should do hmm nothing... i know u dont wanna ruin droids and i would be happy to get droids for free.

Dh is the only solution and it will be good all these tells on the futur saying what will happen things like all players will make DH/DE and buy nothing noone will be able to use droids except DH, and droids crafting will be taken over buy DHand so on is pure nonsense. Only highlv combat droids will be restricted to DH so where is the problem nothing changes at all. highlv combat droids cant be handed out for free (no skillpointscost) and certs only adding the strong combat droids to strong combat professions are still not possible cause breaking balance at all.

devs will bring in new droids for all and new combat droids for all and a new profession for highlv combat droids balanced against ch (maximum power) abilitys and skills wil be unique but might come in later. this will also allow devs to bring in the combat droids fast and than begin working on utility droids.

devs already have alot combat droid models and stuff ready they just cant release it cause of the protest the few players that are DEs and care to spent their time ranting in the forums. many will want DH they just stopped playing DE months ago since it was a bit bring. i say if we dont hinder the devs to do their work we will all get good stuff much faster. noone could realy think devs just took the DH idea cause many screamed they dont want it, they took it because it is the best solution for all.

i hope the devs hurry and bring in the changes on TC so that we can discuss about them and not speculate wildly around thinking the worst will happen to every player from the dev plan which noone knows details about.

dont get me wrong i dont think DH is great(but it cant be done better except by ruining the rest of the game)but its better than nothing and i would be happy with any change and i support the best way to get us new contend that is fun. i prefer to not fool the devs again and causing them to let down their idea again, they wont get a better one just a worser one as they dropped the better ones already cause of rants and they wont make a game for every customer, but i think at the end most will be happy with what the devs do or do u know other reasons why many people play this game?

If I decide to give away my droids for free....then call it charity. Call it philanthopy. Call it whatever you like.

I'd do it because that's what I felt like doing with MY droids. I enjoy the idea of being able to be the Johnny Appleseed of the DH/DM profession.

It is the playstyle that I'm looking forward to engaging in once this goes live. I'll probably have to stop running missions (that I get to raise funds) so that I can restock now and again.

That's fine. You shouldnot have to be all that concerned, then, with my posted plan for my future playstyle...unless you're gonna be a DH. If so, stop by my shop and get your free droid.

Well...I don't know about "balance". If they were that worried about it, they'd take all this into account in the coming combat revamp. It seems they have seen fit not to be inclined towards this so I need to alter my playstyle to follow suit.

Okay...well, my post wasn't about that. My post was about how I plan to change my playstyle (tentatively) with the announcement of the new changes.

Why should this compel you to post a reply if you don't care for my comments?

Well, I'd agree that there are no details. However, I seriously doubt that if they put this all on TC tomorrow and we got positive comments that it would change my idea of what will be "fun" to do in-game. I have an idea of a way to play that will be fun....and I'm going to follow it (I think).

This is a very good idea. I hope there are 10 droid engineers on my server that are as bitter and upset as you. It will serve a few purposes:

• It will determine very quickly if the DH concept will work or not.


• It will flood the galaxy with droids, finally (for how long will be determined by the first bullet).


• It will greatly lessen or even completely eliminate the initial onslaught of people wanting to get these new droids. Other DE's can just say "go to droid engineer XYZ, he's giving them away for free).

I am being sincere in this, it's a really good idea if someone(s) is willing to put the time and effort into it.

Yea...it should be interesting to see the line extending out my front door. It will take a bit to get everyone setup with the colors they want but maybe I can just provide 3 color choices and that's it. That will make it easier for me to get distribution happening faster.

Following the logic of the class with the most population goes to the top of the priority list... DH would become top because of a few rebel DEs, lol! This plan could backfire bigtime!


Hmmmm.....maybe. It seems to be already, best as I can tell.

I wonder how many millions and millions of credits DH's will be able to save by getting their droids for free? I'll have to consider that.

Note: I've not yet decided whether or not batteries will be included with the free droid.

You know your droids won't be free. Not even I am that daft.


Can I use some of your factories to do some extra part runs? I'm thinking I'd like to have maybe 1200-1500 of any/all parts ready when Publish 7 and 8 hit.

I should be able to muster up just enough money and resources for this but I might have to run some missions...we'll see.

I'm sorry, strike was really the wrong term. I don't want anyone to stop making droids completely. I just want the entire DE community to not make any of the combat droids and combat modules we will see post publish 7. Continue to run your business making our currently busted droids, sell the heck out of Probots (although it seems they will be more resource/labor intensive than the current ones) if you like. Make factory crates of BH droids (the only thing in DE I make a profit on) and sell, sell, sell.

Just ignore anything new that comes out combat-droid-wise in the "droid invasion" that the Dev's have planned. No matter what your view is concerning a DH profession, the simple fact of the matter is that our profession STILL isn't being fixed as was promised months ago by Q, TH and a slew of their posts. They are just giving us something else to be bugged/nerfed/balanced and take time away from the true issues of this profession and others.

The Dev's need to be beat in the head until they finally get the message that we want the profession we currently have to work in a proper manner instead of having crap added to it that does nothing to improve the DE profession.

Nothing is changing, its all the same! And its getting *edit* old!

just an example, they prevented bountyhunters to get their rancor trough dabling, and now they should give them a droideka to solo krayts again? or should all mobs levels increased by the power of the droideka making it a bit impossible to play lowlv chars and so on. it would be possible if devs intend to work an extra year on balance and change all classes just to add combat droids, so we will never see utility droids.

erm... if u read carefully this is the current plan the devs have. im not even on ur server so whatever u do there doesnt intrest me at all, as i stated later, i just support what will bring us new contend and fun.

where is ur name? btw only the first 2 lines where directed at u. i just try to get some sympathy for the current dev plan so we can actually see something done. or how long will the devs wait and work out new ideas again and again? if we dont take this now we get nothing ever cause the devs dont care to spent alot time just to make 0,5% of the players happy. there are to many DEs that have dropped the profession cause it was boring.

Small suggestion give ur stuff for free to people u meet that need it or are low lv, but dont flood the market, btw do u give ur droids for free to DEs so they sell it than?

Hmmmm....I should support changes that roughly 90+% of the forum DE population says is vehemently NOT want we want?

I happen to not support this change due to its myopic attempt at "fixing" the profession in a manner that will actually make being a DE fun. 90+% or so of other DEs on the forums seem to agree that supporting this idea is a bad thing...and I happen to agree with them.

I have decided, since it appears that this WILL happen, to make the most of it and figure out a fun way to 'play' the change. That's all. It shouldn't really concern you, to be honest.

No...I don't give away droids to other DEs. If they want droids, they can make their own. They are, afterall, DEs.

And...I'll give droids to whomever I please, thank you very much. It might be people I meet, low-level people...but I will give them to anyone that I want as much as I want.

Just to clarify a lot of this discussion...

Any DE that has nothing more than the Artisan and DE crafting professions, who only make their money selling droids, please weigh in.

I, personally, am a Master Armorsmith that sells Composite Armor to support my DE habit. I have no hot sellers aside from crates of BH droids.......

I could make a living off of those, but not what I'm making as a Master Armorsmith......I'd rather sell resources than be a DE only crafter.

So, TK's plan really doesn't screw anyone. He's only giving away the droids most of us don't want and that none of us currently make. If my Mind Control Device works, no one will make those droids anyway....bwahahahahahaaaa!

I shouldn't say this -

but if you really want to protest, get everyone to stop making BH droids, and shut that profession down.

Now, I won't be doing this - heh - I make a piont to keep BH droids in crates in stock at all time - but that is the one place you could make a real impact.
