I haven't seen anything to disprove it. I haven't been on TC as much as I would like lately, but I was scanned the other day as a Covert Rebel with 0 Spices, sliced weapons, or sliced armor in my inventory. On 2 of my 4 droids in my datapad, I had stored items that are considered contraband. I passed the Scans without incident. This does not mean that the items were 'hidden away' though, since I have seen reports of others being able to pass the Scan without incident even though they had Contraband in their inventory.

I'm hopeful that this turns out to be true. Would be a great selling point.

That's actually not a bad idea, as long as there is a chance of failure and if it is detcted leads to the same action as detecting contraband would, since it would have to be contraband itself after all.

I'm having a blast selling MSE Contraband Droids over on my server. People are buying them sometimes five at a time. Great cash to be had.

I sold a few too charging 6k for them. Then I realized it was a very low price according to the functionality and the fact that and adv mse with the same functionality yhan an R2 should be charged more or less as an R2...

So I increased my prices to 20k... no sells since then But Im not planning to low the price again

So has this been confirmed? Do items in droids avoid the scan in after the patch?

And more importantly... IS IT AN EXPLOIT?

An exploit? Hmm, I never really thought of it that way. I just thought it gave people a new reason to buy droids and add some new functions tooneofthe most Star Warsy part of the game - droids.

Of course, while stored, you cannot equip your uber armor or weapons. Meaning that when it's time to go out in the field again, buffs will be required.

Well, you can drag items from your droid's compartment to the TOOLBAR. The item remains in the droid, and you can even put the droid away. When you press the appropriate F-Key, the item pops into your inventory. So, for example, you can keep your sliced weapon in your droid and have R2 launch it out to you when you need it to fight. If you have enough empty F-keys, R2 can launch your spices and armor out as well.

It's a bit of a pain, but has its uses!

So, let me get this straight: To advance my character, I have to give up my current abilities?

Well, I think the smuggler community would say that giving everyone a wayto place anything they want into a pocket dimension and avoid all imperial scans would pretty muchinvalidate our entire profession... which, by the way, is another important part of the "Star Wars" experience.

Think about it.

I agree that smugglers are a very important part of Star Wars as well, so you present a valid point. I was just hoping for somewhere to hide my checkers.

I disagree.

Putting your contraband in a droid is not the same as having a smuggler in your group! Smugglers make and sell the spice they slice the weapons and they can get a whole group of people through a scanner. My droid gives me a safe spot to store my personal goods while traveling and shopping. I can not quickly"hide" my weapon if I see a scanner.

If only smugglers could get past a scan then all our weapons and armor would have to be left at home, making it unusable. If we can't carry sliced items around without a smuggler in our back pocket then we will stop using these items and paying for these services.

IMHO
