Practice makes permanant lad
Build yourself one of every type of droid (two if you're religious) and see for yourself how they all work. Pretty easy stuff
Oh, and do the Blueprints tree first.

Hello everyone,
I just recently picked up the DE proffesion, and I am a bit confused. I want to make a few storage bots for my friends, but I don't know how to do it. Do I need to add the Level 1 Item Storage Module or the Droid Storage Compartment. If I need to add the Level 1 Item storage module, what is the Droid Storage Compartment for and vice wersa. I found a guide for grinding out the levels, but I didn't see one on droid creation. If someone has/knows of a good guide, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

The lvl 1 storge mod is what you want You place this in a MSE droid, your friend will have the ability to store 1 item =)
The droid storage compatment is used in customization tools and architect crafting stations. So you may try to sell some of those. Also a good hint for making cash at the novice level spam that your customizing droids When they ask how much just tell them how ever much they feel is approprate.

Im 99% sure the customization tool is avalible at novice DE. It takes 1 control unit (hope you know a Master Artisan) and 1 Droid Storage mod. Build the tool and use it on other people droids. Make sure they use the concent command to allow you to customize thier droid. Tell them it will stop making thier astromech's changfe colors all the bloody time.

Sorry my friend it won't but crafting them will. You get xp from crafting the kits, however not as productive as the MSE grind

reading the stickys is a good help
there you find posts like this one here : http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=droid_engineer&message.id=48718
And for the money... dont know how much you need but as an artisan you can make 2.5k in one shuttlejump from Mos Eisley to Anchorhead per crafting missions.

grind MSE droids up the blueprints chain, then shift to advanced droid frames from there on out. Stock up on Steel and fiberplast for the grind. The sooner, the better.

I just create a new toon and he is a DE after 30 minutes of grinding so I like to know whats the best way to get to master. I dont plan on dropping it and plan on waiting for JTL to come out so I can get shipwright to. ONce again I am glad to be part of your ranks. I love droids makes this feel like starwars.

Short version: Read the "One Sticky to rule them all" thread.
Slightly longer version: MSE Droids until 0001. Manipulator arms until 0003. Advanced droid frames until master.
Yep, that's pretty much the way to do it [rubbing sore tendons in wrist].

yeah I cant wait till I can master it so I can build some good droids. I am getting tons of experience knowing what to do in the beta test so I hope when it goes live i am ready to sell some droids.
