Short version: Read the "One Sticky to rule them all" thread.

Slightly longer version: MSE Droids until 0001. Manipulator arms until 0003. Advanced droid frames until master.

I've been MDE since... ohhh.... February, but I still consider myself a noob since I have yet to really buckle down and make any significant runs of droids. I recently bought out two different MDE's who were retiring from the profession and subsequently have a fairly massive amount of components, so I am now ready to rock & roll the lazy way! My biggest headache thus far has been the specialized resources necessary. Is there a decent source of information on all of the specific specialized resources needed and what they're used for? I just picked up a full crate of Toilium Reactive Gas to make detonation modules... according to enactive I lucked into a supply of the best quality ever! I would like to have a list of other specifics so I can keep my eyes open for spawns as well as when shopping. Dude sold this Tolium on his vendor for 2cpu... OQ is 978, so I think I'll be able to make those R3's at 58 blast power now!

It has a complete resource tree (what catgories everything falls into, what is needed for what droids) as well as (my personal favorite) a list of ALL the current resources with complete stats, organized by server/planet. Check it out, you won't regret it

Hi, should be mastered by the end of the weekend. But have a couple of questions:


1. What does XP cap at? Just wondering.

2. My thoughts on running the buisness is gonna be Vendors with different Bomb Droid, Bounty Hunter Droids and Flight Droids and just take custom orders for everything else, is that how most people do it?

I think you can ask any DE on any server and they'll tell you the FC/unprogrammed modules market is flatlined. I know it is on Shadowfire. I personally make a large variety of droids, and make huge runs of BH droids plus 3 different varieties of bomb droids. I also stock a vendor full of assorted supplies like batteries and repair kits (not D's cause Vendusii is ludicrously rare on SF. until recently there hadn't been a spawn of it for a year...). At my primary location I also have a vendor that stocks DE crafted components that other crafters need like DSCs and Protocol Droid chassis'. I fill out the rest of my gaming day by filling custom orders.

I'm a full-time DE, and with the amount of stock and variety I carry, I don't have time for anything else anyway. If you're not planning on being full-time, you might not want to carry a huge selection or do alot of custom jobs. BH droids are always a good choice tho for any DE.

1) 240,000 once you're a master.
2) That's a good staple selection to start out. Once you get going on that, you start finding out what your server needs, like medical droids and start mass-producing those. Then perhaps a run of combat droids. Maybe some storage mice. You'll find this stuff out as you do your custom orders.

I Mastered DE just as JTL launched last year. Made a small fortune selling this stuff. Now I sell maybe 1 Astromech a day if I am lucky. As suggested MSE 'Storage'Droids and some 110 'Medical' Droids sell well. All Novice Medics like a cheap 110 sugical droid as I have found out and they always come back for a nice R3 when they mastered medic/doc.

Oh yeah forgot about those. I have 2 factories 1 called EMM and 1 called EGP. Why o why do we use soooo many of these.
