Thread: Whats the Funniest thing you have heard from you customers?
One time a guy asked me questions for twenty minutes about droids, then bought the droid from another DE (he told me that's how I know). It irritated me a little bit, but I'm a DE and so used to irritation.
A few weeks later, he sees me in the starport:
Customer: You make BH droids?
Me: Yeah.
Customer: I want one.
Me: Okay, the seekers cost 700 each (note: prepatch days), but I sell them in crates of 5.
Customer (after 20 second pause): Okay, I'll take a crate for 5000.
Me: Okay.
Customer: (1 minute later): I mean, I'll take a crate for 3500.
Me: Sure.
C: Do you sell probots?
ME: Yes
C: Whats the HAM on the ones you make?
ME: 810
C: Ihave a friendwhohas one withlike 3000
ME: We can't make those anymore, those are Pre-Nurfs
C: Well..he has one..so you must suck
ME: Im a Master DE, I can make anything driod and we make probots with 810 HAM now.
C: So how much to make one with 3000 HAM?
ME: Buy 4 of mine...for 40k..
Sorry..I lost it at that point 
By far the funniest thing someone has asked me is "What does an R2 look like?"
Ok, you must note I have blueprints 4 so I have "Droid Builder" above my head..
random person: So, what does a Droid Builder do..
Me: (surprised)I build droids..
random person: Oh... there are droids in this game?
Me: /emote smacks hand to forehead.
Obviously a noob, but it struck me as hilarious
CU: Can you make a dragon for me?
Me: No... i can't make a dragon, i make droids
CU: yeah, it's master only
Me: I *am* a Master
CU: I KNOW, can you MAKE ONE??
Someone standing nearby: He's a droid engineer, not a bio-engineer
CU: oh

CU: what's the attack for the LE droid?

CU: how much damage does the R2 do?

Me: walk around and look pretty

People seem to have a very strange idea of what a DE actually is, and does....
Customer: You're a DE right?
Me: Yes. Thats why it has "Droid Builder" above my head
Customer: So you can build droids?
Me: ....yes......
Customer: Can you build me an AT-ST then?
Me: Huh? Thats a faction pet that *no one* can build
Customer: Your Droid Engineer and you can't even make an AT-ST?
Me: What planet are you from? STs arn't droids...
Customer: Yeah whatever. So what droids can you make that attack?
Me: I can make a probot and a DZ70 .. they are pretty much the only droids a Droid Engineer can make right now.
Customer: Ok, I'll take a droideka
After reading these quotes I'm starting to wonder if I should go all the way to master DE. Oh well, I'll just sell my droids to guild members only.
Btw, that customer that wanted a droidika was hilarious.

These customers are just so stupid/n00bish. I have an idea, just to make it even funnier since apparently we DE's are the only one to have knoledge on droids, hell lets have fun and toy with the customers since they don't get a thing about droids.

I don't have the photographic memory you guys do, so I'll just tell the story, paraphrase where nececery, and lie where I can 
this has happened to me more than once, and I'm sure it's happened to you a few times before.
I have a 30 minute conversation with a potential customer who wants a droid, he ask every annoying question I've been asked 4 million times before, but he keeps saying "I want the best droid you can make, what is It?" so I figure he's good for an adv probot, or a fully loaded R3 (med 6, item 4. data 4, crafter, reapair, you know, the "I'm so cool I can afford an R3 with everything" model. so finally he says ya, I'll take the R3, so I say it's 40k, and he says cool.
I make the thing, (criticaled on the med/food and chem/data general module soket cluster OUCH!)
so I finish the thing, and say, it's done.
he says ok, ( (playername) wants to trade with you)
so I put the R3 up, 40k I say, ok
5000 in the trade window.
O, you only have 5k on you, you can just banktip me the rest.
Um.......... that's all I got, can you cut me a deal?
........................................................................................................................What?
Um, how about this, I give you 3k now, and I give you 2k every day until it's paid off?

Gveedo of Bloodfin here, yeah master DE, sigh.. sometimes my shop is too busy to do anything but make droids, other times, well I get creative with my time. After the "one too many" why buy a binary load lifter statements ( mine dances to my music , hes good really ) I decided to take up a challange issiue to me by a friend, ( this starts the humor ) I took a binary load lifter chassis, made it very dark blue-grey , then named it Assult ADV Chassis ( yes I know spelling was intentional ) all in black text, next for the fun, I had a armor smith make me 2 shiled generators and had him name them Rocket Launcers and ( using the stairs) moved them to the chassis shoulders, I then had a weapon smith make me a pair of some big crome guns, and had him name them Plasma Cannons, I also took the time to make 4 cdef rifles and mounted them in the front of the main body, naming them all Chain Guns. I was very please with my "Mech" untill I recieved roughly 17 emails a day for that completed droid.. One customer I remember very well goes a little as follows.
Q: OK besides the R2 I like that Canary Load lifter you have there, what can it do?
A: Nothing, mine can dance but I have to show him the foot steps.
Q: f dat man, I want a good R2 unit, so he can like make stuff, he can help me make things right?
A: Sorta, yeah in his own way , sure 
this is where the customer NOTICES the big blue beast.
Q: WOAH I want one of those, would ya sell me one dude???
A: I would if I could, now we were talking about you r2 you wanted.
Q: FOOK the R2 dude I want that bish to be my bot, so like man sell me one ?
A: I am unable to sell you a droid anything like this at this time, shall we discuss maby a probot?
Q: MAAN look at the size of this thing its like way bigger then all the other chassis you have ( its standing right next to the bright yellow binary chassis ) how much damage can that thing do ??
A: Well if it was in combat , I would have to assume it would do the total damage of the guns that accually hit.
Q: huh? I asked what is DPS is dude..
A: Ohh that ! ( sigh ) well I think if I.. 1400 to 5400 in 4.2 heh cool huh, so back to this r2??
Q: Thats it??? Ohh well, it looks pretty armored man whats its armor ressistances , its like leet yeah?
A: ( looking at the ban command in my house) Ohh yeah alot of armor.
Q: WELL like how much armor??????
A: Hmmm, ohh armor, complete armor, head to toe, no wires showing on this bot.. Combat droids like the p..
Q:SO like if some **edit** Imperial were like to have his ghay-t-st out and I had this one out, and they were like fighting, I waaana know who would like win dude?
A: Honestly, if a AT-ST owner were to tell it to attack that droid, it would be a long fight, where both owners simply would store their respective "fighters" then to let the fight go on that long.
Q: No way dude thats soo like leet, what about a Rancor?
A: I have been nothing but honest with you, and a Rancor, could not even Scratch that Chassis no matter how many times the owner said attack.
Q: well like can this one dance too?
A: Nope , cant even teach it to dance.
Q: I will take it, how much to buy it??
A: (sigh) I have had offeres of up to 4 million emailed to me, so I assume I would have to charge at least that.
Q: **edit** dude, I gotz like 2000 credits, can you sell me anything like it?
A: Of course I have this Asault Seeker right over here , the one with the big rifle sticking out of its head, wearing that imperial hat .
Q: SOLD !! man them ATSTs will never see whats shooting at them ( 5 min later ) doood this seeker you sold me has like 5 near it, and no matter what I do I cant get the Seeker thing to attack.
A: Ohh I am sorry he is for home defence only..

Cust: Can you make me an EG-6
Me: (Thinking someone wants to recharge a fleet of probots) Sure
Cust: How much?
Me: 24k
Cust: Wow! What do they do?
Me: Recharge other droids.
Cust: Can you make me one that doesn't do anything?
I was soooo wishing I could make an EG-6 Adv chassis. :/
