i agree, the droid exp is rather harsh. especially if we dont get uxp. either repair the current system so that its fair or modify it. mouse droids really dont grant that much exp. its a bit impossible to gain in skill. good luck to all of you.

DE is the first craft that I am attempting to master. After reading this thread I realize I would be better off developing weapons or armor skill then coming back to droid later after they fix DE. There is little doubt in my mind that the best long term droids will require weapons made by master weapons smiths. Even so I will build a droid factory tonight and see if the xp flows alittle better.

One way the Devs could improve the plight of even the lowest lvl DE would be to have some boss mobs drop some good unique schematics every once in awhile with some xp benifits. It would be more fun to hunt than grind all day.

After 3 loooooong days of nothing but grinding, which is really not fun (and that's what a game is supposed to be), I finally reached the novice droid engineer level. I was estatic, "Oh boy, no more boring hours of grinding away on the fireworks and crafting tools." Well I was right. Now I get to grind away at mouse droids. From what I've heard the droid crafting xp takes much longer to get than the general crafting xp it took to get up to it. If that's the case, I'm seriously thinking about dropping the game.

Sorry, can't sign this one.

The devs are designing the game to where the average player plays "X" hours a week, and should take "Y" days/weeks/months to master a certainlevel profession (starting/elite/hybrid). They did some adjusting from beta to final. I know they dropped the xp requirements on Bounty Hunter by 15 percent, but not sure about DE.

Do I have to grind? Of course. We all do. But when I make Master Droid Engineer, it will mean more.

This isn't a game where you simply log on and it says "Hi, welcome to SWG. Create a character. What would you like to be? Oh, a droid engineer? Congrats, Master Droid Engineer. Your character has been created. Make sure and go through the tutorial so you know how to use the bank! Enjoy your playing!"

I don't advertise on the forums. I'm not in a guild. I don't even have a factory yet (at the time of this writing). I take customers from people seeing my title while I'm running through a town on a resource run, or from a character search. I take the customers that come my way, usually craft the item "custom" for them right there, grind by hand, and seemingly spend half my time doing resource runs and surveying on other planets.....and I just can't sign the petition.

If it were too easy, there'd be nothing to do.

Im a NOVICE Droid Engineer right now. It IS impossible to get to better droids. Im out at my PA Hall giving awayFREE MSE Droids because i have so **edit** many!NO ONE wants them. I always get tells saying " Hey, can you make droids with crafting stations in em yet?"....its sooo annoying. I seriously think Creature Handlers are better. They have a wider variety of pets, and also you only need 17.5K of CH exp to get bubble in your skills. While we need 48K to get a bubble. PLUS, they can tame something, teach it the commands, and then release it and altogether have gotten like 500 xp, then they kill it and get like 20 rescources when you harvest it....i would know, i am a CH. DE have to make these tiny **edit** droids that no one wants, for 140 or so exp each then convince people to buy them. Otherwise, we have wasted some rescources.

not even going to attempt to read all this..i just saw the first post

Exp is fine where it is lol....you arent suppose to breeze through elite crafting skills, hell i would almost want it to be higher, just because now you got people just becoming DE to power skill to probots and flooding the market.

After reading through the forums today I am serously dishearted about being a DE...I recently turned Novice DE and I feel shafted...The mouse droids don't work right...What am I making a living off of?...A novetly thing when it could be something thats somewhat useful...

I agree with the others about the amount of xp you get from grinding and the UXP...I think the amount of experience you need to lvl is fine...Honestly, I don't want a lot of DE's out there outselling me on the market...When trying to get my Novicedom by the crafting stations I saw *a lot* of novice weapons and armorsmiths...And they all have to duke it out against each other...Bah...I definately don't want that...

At least fix the bugs with the droids, please...What little use they have we need to make sure *that* works at least...

Agree with the previous posters on having more varity at the lower DE lvls, more ways to earn EXP then just grinding out.

Different type bots with vary lvls of EXP earned, Droid repair or upgrading maybe? These varing methods would seem to me to expand the RP value, not detract from it. More interaction between the online community.

Once the droids are 'fixed' I honestly think that the XP needs to be raised, and many of the models need to be harder to build. It should take skill in more than ONE side of the tree to make a probot. Like an R2, it should need parts out of a different leg of the DE tree.

I think they need to move the 'parts' out of Blueprints and place them in the 'refinement' branch. Give people a reason to go up more than just one leg, and just push all the Probot racers out of the profession.
