true. but then the fact that the numbers change order at the R3 throws a monkey wrench in even that logic. R4 is better than R5, R2 is better than R4, and... R3 is better than R2. The last one breaks the pattern.
I still agree with you, but I wouldn't be surprised either if they came forward and said "the R3 isn't suppossed to have more slots than the R2. The reason it's higher up in the schematics list is that the picture is cooler."
Please tell me you honestly don't believe this. I cannot believe someone could be... that "challenged" with intelligence if so.
You know, Ackis, I really don't appreciate your style of debating at all. Its fine if you disagree with others, but name calling and insulting people's intelligence is really inapporpriate.
Reasonable people can differ about why the best droid is an R3 when the numerical progression starts from R5 and goes up. By that logic R2 ADV should be the best. I don't necesarrily ascribe to this school of thought, but if another person does I'm not going to say they have a "challenged" intelligence.
The definition of a socket cluster states that it is "An array that can fit a variety of droid sockets". How many types of "sockets" are there? Two. The cluster currently fits a variety of them. In the face of language like that its especially out of line for you to call people names because they disagree with you.
I really hope for your sake that clusters indeed are not supposed to fit in non-cluster slots. You are going to have a lot of apologizing to do if it turns out otherwise. Indeed, I think one is warranted now, but that's your call.
Ok... sorry for veering off the path above... the fixes are nice and all I do appreciate them... but where is some Dev post-age? I know the life day stuff and all but seriously... since I became a DE a few months ago... I have been wondering what I can do, besides harvester runs... I can't keep my commando skills so I can't kill anything...
Making money is great and all, but seriously... DEs need a word, from one of the Devs... we need some kind of outline/sketch/plan to see where we are tentatively going... I want to see the vision that Drashk is telling us to be patient about... Patience is a rare and finite resource… lets stop grinding with it and start making something worthwhile…
This short bug fix list is a disappointment. If your going to fix bugs then address the pointlessness of experimentation. And I dont see why our correspondent would not at least acknowledge this.
Drashk Said
If the DEVs responded to each community that requested an update on information, there would never be any work completed, since there are 38 different communities, not including each server community. It just can't work that way, not if we want anything to ever been done for the community.
We were, in the beginning of December, told that we werethe priorty profession revamp. Then when the Dev's got back to work we were the only thing annouced for the development table. The "Droid Invasion" Boasts combat droids. It also promises a "reiteration'' of the entire profession but this short list of simple bug fixes is far short of a reiteration.

How can you tell when a Dev is lying to you.......His lips move.
Then again, have any of us actually seen a developer's lips move?
I have, they usually say, "This thread is locked due to the nonconstructive posts!
TH is probably a nice guy and all, but you need to let him know we're very distrustful of anything he has to say. He needs to go to the rest of the Dev team and ask, " What did you do to these guys?" At this point it would be worth it to me for SWG to fold if I could be secure in the knowledge that everyone connected to it would never work in this industry again.
Not a droid engineer myself, I just don't see any content. All those look exactly like bugs that should have never made it to release.. and here we are 6 months later fixing bugsin a class that is as next to worthless as you can get? I think they should have come out swinging something bigger.

I´m a bit disappointed of this thread. Guys, Drashk didn´t decide these to be the changes in january.
You are right, and im sorry Dra, but it seemed to me with your responses that you tend to agree that its somthing alot more then a few fixes that should have been fixed months ago.
I am not blaming you if it sounded that way, i am just sick of waiting, i have been a de since day one and im really sick of the empty promises and when they do deliver somthing its pitiful to say the least.
I am not one to be ow goody i got somthing nor do i care about them stopping information to us because we have never had any.
The unfortunately reality is in order to get anywhere with them you have to raise 10 kinds of grief, and dont say you dont cause any class that has gotten attention got it thru those means.
We on the other hand have been a silent well informed community offering wondrous ideas thru the proper channels and were has that got us?
A droid that has been USELESS since day one can now have a mod put in it, i mean come on. Great now rather than using a chasis that cost 100 credits to build to store 10 items we can use the most expensive. WOOO HOOO.
And as the community rep your gonna get some heat, you obviosly knew that going in. The heat is directed at SOE for there lack of delivering on promises and i would hope you are giving them tons of grief holding them to what they have said in the past.
And then i would ask you exactly what was the reason for holding back on telling the community they fixed somthings that have been broke since day one. Frankly if we had known what was coming none of this would have happened would it?
The communication continues to stink, Thunder just replaced someone else whos job was overwhelming. He obviously cant do it all, and in that same end is doing everyone he is representing more harm then good.
Ow well my stupidity for paying them for a year to begin with.
Unfortunate..I'll continue to wait I suppose.
These sorts of fixes have previously been included for other professions, sometimes without mention in the patch notes...andcertainly not in the context of being the answer tothe longstanding issues of a class. I would not expect that this 'teasing' to be considered the 'meat' of any fixes for our profession.
Drashk, I'd love to see the color customization for droid chassis done during creation be the default color that a 'painted' droid fades back to. So far, the droid customization line only helps us make more colorful furniture..I've had good laughs over this one since I picked up DE a month after release. ![]()

Well, this is good news to me... things to remove from the issues thread. Finally.
Gorantoth.... I hate to be cynical about this but I'd keep these things on your list until they're 100000% working in the game.
I expect the absolute worst from this Dev team, including them not getting their planned fixes into a patch.
