Thread: DE Goodies for Publish 6
Virt,
That is the way that it should be progessed. The Advanced Models are supposed to be better than the non-Advanced module, regardless of whether or not they are of different types. It is also how the progression works.
Take a look at the Skill Tree break down and you will see that the progression that I outlined fits with the order that they are listed. An R4 comes before an Adv R5 on that list.

Actually Virtanis, the progression should go as follows
Intermediate BlueprintsR5 1 Module total (achieved by using) 1 General Module
Advanced BlueprintsR4 1 Module total (achieved by using) 1 General module
ADV-R5 2 Modules total (achieved by using) 2 General Modules
Expert BlueprintsADV-R4 3 Modules total (achieved by using) 3 General Modules
R2 3 Modules total (achieved by using) 1 Socket Module
Master BlueprintsR3 3 Modules total (achieved by using) 1 Socket Module
ADV-R2 5 Modules total (achieved by using) 1 Socket Module and 2 General Modules
Master Droid EngineerADV-R3 6 Modules total (achieved by using) 2 Socket Modules

You get R4 and Adv R5 at blueprints 2, adv R4 and R2 at blueprints 3, adv R2 and R3 at blueprints 4 and adv R3 at master.
Right. Wasn't stating that it took 8 skill boxes to get to ADV-R3.It's just the lowest skill to highest skill in that order, not grouped by blueprints boxes. This whole discussion is revolving around the socket exploit. Typically, socket exploits are done by lowbie DE's trying to compete with masters, that's why I feel it's important to order it thusly. But this tangent isn't important people! Forget ordering, get back to the meat of the discussion.
That is really great that TH announce some bug fixes but ,
Well let you ,Drashk, annonce some bug fixes ... That's make me feel like DEdo not even deserve an official post for them ...![]()
why he did not let you tell us that before, those are just bug fixes they have nothing secret and we are expecting them since the beginning.
We are all really happy about that ( i think this is the feeling of every DE ), but for my part this not what i am exepecting at the moment, they have made us dreamed of the droid invasion they have told us that they will share with us about the droid invasion in the week of 5 to 9 th january ( this is still written on the website
) and for now nothing ... nada ... niet ...rien ...peau de zob ...
So most of us are sad and cannot welcome this great news with enthousiam as nothing promised at end of last year is here ...

As soon as this code hits TC I'll be logging in and will give everyone an update.
Any word on when this is hitting TC? are we going to have to wait thru another weekend without this on TC?
So where's the rest of the droid stuff for this patch? Droid Invasion = Jack Snit?
I keep seeing people (read Drashk) saying be patient. Dude are you high? In all seriousness, are you on something? Will you share? How much more patient can one be? Anyone that has been a DE since the game came out has been overly patient as it is. This paltry bit of bug fixes is long over due. They should have thrown us at least one bone in the patch. Just one would have sufficed.
Oh well.

After reading what's lined up for DE in this patch, I'm left with only one question, really.
Is today April Fool's Day?

there are also those who think its an exploit and don't use it, but see that so much is irrational in the skill tree that there's no reason to assume that this is logical, and therefor make no assumptions.
Very true. There is also a lot of five-year-old-style name-calling on this discussion board. Bile does not supplant substance. And if substance is all you deal in, you can accept others' arguments even if you differ.
Why doesn' t the R3 have 4 modules? 1 socket and 1 general... otherwise... there is NO difference between R2 and R3... except for Adv Droid Brains...
This has always vexed me... since it should be easy to fix... and all we are doing this patch is fixing broke stuff... Fix this please...
Yeah! It's a start at least. I get at least 2 tells a week asking me what BLLs are for. When I explain they are useless exept for advertising, poof, no more sale. I can finally start a run of Adv.BLL frame units and sell a bunch ofBLLs for 50-60k. The advanced Medical BLL should be a great hit, lol.
Seriously, I think the BLL news makes my day. It'll be a popular item for Architects when combined with a structure crafting station, and maybe data and item storage.
Cheer! For fixing the socket module exploit (in part anyways).

true. but then the fact that the numbers change order at the R3 throws a monkey wrench in even that logic. R4 is better than R5, R2 is better than R4, and... R3 is better than R2. The last one breaks the pattern.
I still agree with you, but I wouldn't be surprised either if they came forward and said "the R3 isn't suppossed to have more slots than the R2. The reason it's higher up in the schematics list is that the picture is cooler."
Please tell me you honestly don't believe this. I cannot believe someone could be... that "challenged" with intelligence if so.
Please tell you I don't believe what exactly? I've said that I believe it to be an exploit multiple times. I also see that the whole schematic portion of the skill tree is so ridiculously organized in terms of the functionality of the droids that I seriously doubt much planning when into it al all.
I don't see any reason to assume that the developers consider it an exploit at this point. The whole schematic system for droidsis so randomly and sloppily designed that I consider it likely that the developers never even thought carefully about the question of whether cluster modules should go in non-cluster slots at all. I even consider it likely at this point that if they did think about it, they very well may have said to themselves, "this profession stinks, lets make it so the cluster modules can fit in the generic slots so fewer people will complain about how they can't do anything useful. we can fix it later."
No reason to be insulting my intelligence in either case. Bringing up your opinions about the intelligence of people who don't think like youin the course ofa discussion like this is rather pointless.

From now on, I'm calling the people who use the GMC exploit what they truly are. They are
CHEATERS
Ackis, my whole point in bringing this up is that to call anyone else here a cheater is extremely premature. Someone earlier mentioned that module stacking was also considered an exploit by some until it was clarified. This falls into the same category. Just because you think something is wrong doesn't make it so. Until a dev tells us for sure, we should assume it isn't a bug. We have gone to TH at least twice on this and both times the answer has always been that GDMSC into GDMSC is a bug. They have always excluded GDMSC into GMS as being a bug. While we might all agree that TH really doesn't understand the issue, you need to keep in mind that the answers to those questionsare coming from the dev, not from TH. The dev has evidently seen that the GDMSC into GDMSC is a bug and told TH "we're gonna fix this". I can't see how he could have fixed this and not mentioned that it was caused by the ultimate bug being that you can put GDMSCs into regular slots. To me, that would have been the answer he would have given if it was the case and the notes we have would have included it. The fact that it doesn't is just further indication to me that it appears to be a design that we don't like and not a bug.
