I am a greedy doc. but it is not because i am a doc. i have made a lot of money doing janta missions( oh yeah we should all join a sever that has 8 jantas per mission cause we only get 4 per on our sever 5 if we are lucky) if you reallyget 8 im putting in a csr ticket cause that aint fair. alsoit does only take me 90 secs to do 1 janta mission (i timed it). I dont care what other docs charge. i only buff myself and guildies now and the odd poor noob that asks "whats a buff" and i dont charge them. 10k i believe is not enough for a buff but 50k or 100k is crazy. everything in this game is going up in price from food to weapons to armor. so buffs go up big WOOP

As a Doc on 2 servers (Eclipse/Farstar) i would never even consider buffing ANYONE for less
than 15k. Nothing you say or do can convince me to lower that price
Your full of it Goden. On eclipse you wouldnt even get that kinda of cash. Just calling you out becuase you want to act hard. O and Im a doc and i agree i would never charge 50k a buff but every has the right to charge what they want.

Mind if I jump in here? I understand that doctors have expenses and by no means should anyone be ashamed at pricing their buffs a bit on the high end. I also saw mention of "greedy rangers/scouts". I have a Master Ranger on the Tarquinas server and am bringing one up on the Flurry server now. I think the most I ever charged for any of my resources (on Tarquinas), even the really good ones, was about 5 CPU. A Bio-Engineer in my guild there would force me to take 10 CPU on the really good fish he needed and our Armorsmith would force me to take more as well. They encouraged me to "get a fair price" for my resources.
On Flurry this morning, with only 27K to my name, I stopped in at a Tailor's shop to check out the clothing line. She was asking 20K for one pair of pants! Yes, they had Bio-Engineer's enhancements on them but still! I don't even want to know what armor is going to cost me.
I guess what I am saying is that I have a right to make a profit as well. If the market will bear me charging 10-15CPU on a resource, I am going to charge that. If I can get more, I will. But if I can get a long-term contract with some doctors, bio-engineers, chefs, and so forth, they won't have to pay the market price. I am not greedy.

We're talking about how greedy they are because they charge 300+cpu even heard of 500cpu for avain meat..
I don't really think your greedy at all.

Ijust want to say one thing about people who say doctors are greedy and are rich and what not. I have played this game since the second week it came out. I have been a doctor since about a week after that. If you have not played a doctor from that time on you really dont have a right to say anything about doctors being greedy and rich. We almost NEVER got paid for anything we did at the beginning. We would be lucky to get a 1k tip for healing 200+ wounds. People took huge advantage of doctors. Until buffs arrived the most money i ever had was around 50k. So i say if doctors can finally have a way to make the same money that armorsmiths and weaponsmiths and combat professions can make then so be it. If i choose to play a doctor, then i should have an option to make money as well. Basically i feel that it's a whole what goes around comes around kind of effect. Doctors used to be poor. Now we can be rich. Personally i like that. And besides, for the most part you pay what 12-15k for buffs. EVEN if you DONT run janta missions with that buff and all you do is go hit quenkers for xp, its till worth it because that 12k helped you stay alive fighting quenkers and it made thing faster and easier since you didnt have to clone and then heal and then go out againand the like. If you dont like paying a simple 12k to get buffed because you think its too much try going without it for a few days and see how easy it is to hit quenkers and jantas. You'll eventually see that 12k and more is actually worth it for all it helps you accomplish. Sorry about the long post I just havent said anything for a really long time and i had to get my piece in. Thanks.
P.S. Friendly debate on this subject is welcome but please dont flame me. I really hate getting into fights.

I've been a doctor for a few months now and i enjoy it. It's a change of pace instead of being the typical solider all the time. I have been on both sides of the coin froming having to wait in line for buffs or heals and getting charged quite a bit. Now i can see the frustration players have with it.
The way i look at being a doctor is i'm providing a service to any customer. I'm willing to help heal you and buff you without hesitation and WITHOUT overcharging players.
I won't list my price for buffs unless you ask nicely, but let's just say many players have been coming back to me knowing that i'll be there witha friendly salute and try to answer any questions they may have. I don't look at it as just 'making money' to get rich, but rather to meet interesting people and help put a smile on their faces. Being generous goes a long way in my book. I think players would rather go to someone who is much nicer then someone who is a complete ass and overcharges--stating it openly.

I cant belive we are giving one bitcher a forum.. do we care if u dont like 50k buffs? No, No doc does,i dont care what the person beside me charges,, Dont let the whining of someone stop u from buffin for what u like. and why the hell should docs have to defend themselves all the dam time, as of late i have been hunting getting tell after tell ,while iam trying to secure buff packs for the future..It gets quite annoying. Tryiong to hunt whenu get 50 tells u buffin u buffin, no no iam hunting,, u buffin, wqhen u gonna be done,,, bahhhhhh... when iam done. docs deserve everything they ask for . end of story. hey any one else agree the new buffs are totally useless.what a waste of programming. why cant they give docs mind buffs that can stack muscian mind buffs,or give us a over all mind buff.

I have been a doc for 6 months and I've found that people will only pay for top quality buffs -- this requires spendy foods, hard to find top quality resources and 200cpu meat!
If you buy some good quality 50cpu Avian people will flame you that the buffs sucks!
If I buy the good meat then people flame that my buffs cost too much!
It took me 3 months before I could make a good buff and then I can hardly make any money selling them...
I mean who wants to sit in a outpost and do nothing but buff? I'm spammed for buffs, res, healing etc anytime I sit down and try to play.. It's worse then sitting in Theed!
When a doc responds to a request that he is busy then it's 10 minutes of flaming.
I have played every crafting class in the game and hands down making buffs are the worst!
I know longer provide buffs to the public -- It's a no win situation! Anyhow, it's this constant attack again Doc's that have drove the price up on buffing.. Few doc's providing buffs at the outposts/starports mean less competition and higher prices!
All doc's are rich is bull -- most just make enough to buy the next round of resources and in my case I had to start an alt ranger/riflemanfor harvesting and Janta mission runs to stay on top of quality resources...

The sad reality is Doc's are charged an average of 200cpu for the meat we need -- Even Talus herb we are charged 80cpu and we all know a novice scout can harvest 10k in less than an hour .. Probably more.
