Negattive.


Aside from beng a generic caster/healer, it does not preserve play styles for the master doctor/merchant, i will have to drop master merchant to pick up BE and crafting, and all doctors are now equal. I cannot give myself an edge by getting the best ingredients and making kick-butt stims, and I cannot adjust my stats to fit my playstyle. The stat migration was one of the gems in this game.

its not just what they are doing to doctor. I dont like the new game engine, the old one could have been fixed, to me this is a lazy way to try to fix something. Dont tell me they have been working on this for a year either. they changed the engine a week before blair posted about the changes. NO input form the alpha testers, just the same old thing this is what we are doing, LIVE with it.





POIZEN MIA news reports say she was last seen getting carried away by some creature called darth CU. many others are also missing. Please mail any info to swg's( we dont care department).

OK, who forgot to feed the dev's ? they have been using their nerf macro again! ahhh dev's NGE Not Good Entertainment. yup you named that one right!

Still negative.


From a doctor perspective, I will have a character I will not want to play. If there is combat, then my Commando will be there. But for crafting, I always had my doc. I loathed BE when i tried it, and will not try it again. What to do, what to do.


I would like to note that all the docs in my guild have quit the game since the Blair post last week except me.


This will also hit the low/mid level characters hard. The main source of income for them has always been gathering resources for Docs - I see it in the guild all the time. BEs sample DNA themselves, the scouts/rangers will be bereft of income. As well as those who picked up a little scout to make money while they worked on mastery and loot abilities.


IDs will be a thing of the past with no stat migration.


With no mind healing/buffs what will entertainers purpose be?


While I think the combat will be improved, and my commando will fare better, I doubt the game will be improved. Maybe an influx of new players will help, but we will lose too many old ones.

I don't agree that the doc profession is suffering from the CURB. Well of course, they wmight not be able to make millions buffing in starport with a macro... but that is not a nerf in my eyes, I never did, not compatible with a game experience for me.
If they want to remain the docs they have always been they just need doc and the medicine crafting line of BE. They will be like Armorsmiths that have some tailoring or merchant skills to complete their template.

On the other hand, they will have a much more rewarding and useful role in groups. docs will be sought, like they used to be when the risk of death was real in PVE and everybody loved going with a doc to the tusken fort.

You just need to think beyond the old system that is deleted, nothing will be like before. it makes no sense to think things according to the old system.

I hardly beleive some players already left the game even before trying something totally new or even knowing fully about what is coming on. THat is so childish. I hope the are young and don't vote yet, gosh.

Your eyes aren't everyone else's eyes though, true?

Yeah, they're going to get four columns of medical crafting ability, except they won't be crafting for doctors because doctors won't need consumables anymore. They'll get to make stims for everyone...

Yes, Instead of being able to heal, craft and buff, now ALL doctors will be able to do nothing but heal, (and buff 20%). That takes the profession from 99% to about 45% as far as the variety of things doctors can do currently, and they call it an improvement...

Negative. I've been on TC too.


The 'real' Doctor playing styles are being preserved, the greedy 'pretend' Doctors such as myself that crafted can kiss the baby.

Changing my former Negative vote to Positive after trying the CU.


I get to be a healer in a group in combat again, that isnt pvp. Skill point rearrangement at this time on CU makes it look like it will be very reasonable to shift skills where I want them without losing what I like doing best- hunting.


Master Sword looks like the skill point rearrangement will be fine here too. If I can just work my way past the blasted two handed axe to a real sword...
