OK. Here's how the votes come out.

24 votes for #1 (Some Variability)

16 votes for #2 (No Variability at all)

9 votes for #3 (Keep it like it is)

That's 82% in favor of reducing the variability to some degree and overall it looks like Some Variability is preferable to absoloutely no variability. I'll pass the word along.

#3 - Because if you read his last sentence, "I'm fine with doing this as long as everybody realizes that this will significantly drop the high end of the buff range." SIGNIFICANTLY

That does not sound good. Maybe if there was some form of clairifaction exactly what "significantly" means then I would be good with reducing the variablity of the buffs. Otherwise leave them alone.

Of course I could just be paranoid that the nerf bat is gonna hit my main reason for being a Master doc.

Reguards,

I vote #1.

But, I'd like to voice my opinion that I think that variability (an increase over experimented stats) should be rare and should never go less than the experimented stats of the enhance pack. This way, because I can experiment up my effectiveness, I know that I can always get at least that good of an enhance, and know what to charge. And sometimes (again, infrequently... maybe 25% of the time?) my customer will get a "bonus" and get an extra increase over what I told him that I could buff.

I voted 1 since I assumed that also means it will SIGNIFICANTLY raise the lower end of buff range.

In fact I would assume that it will raise the low end exactly same amount as it lower the high end.

That was my understanding.

#1 Definitely - I don't want variability totally removed, just reduced abit, so instead of doing 800-2400, I do like 1100-1800. That'd be great. Reliably being able to buff everyone a certain amount is much more usefull, generally, than randomly buffing one guy for like 2000 on a couple stats and another guy for 800-900.

#1 - Some random is fine but the Extremes are just far too high or low

I like how it is now, number 3, i can get anywhere from 800 to 2700 with my 800enhance packs. I like the *chance* at getting the big bonus buff

Folks, vote's over. The folks who like the reduced variability far outnumbered those who wanted things to stay the same (as I expected). (See my other post above for details.)
