ifwe don't get the meat yourself or harvest resources yourself,we are definately not going to earn much if we're gonna be selling at 100k a set. look at the prices of resources nowadays, doctors have no choice but to set nice lookingprice to meats because we simply need the meat. it's not the matter of how much it is at the end of the day, it's a matter of having the meat. doctors spend a lot of time looking for resources and yes meat are costing bomb. of course we can charge less but we've to find out own resouces, ie, hunt the meat ourelves but at the end of the day, it wont be enough to make a run in the factory hence we pay for the services of people to gather the meat. it's the doctors paying people to get meat, not the price of the meat ultimately...
basically, when there's no doctors, we're like god. when there's no doctors, we get sworn at

I tried to sell Discount Buffsets which buff 2100 for 3.5 hours with 31 usesfor 80k/set
Guess what ? Noone wants them, they prefer the 900er, 3hours. 150k/set
Usually 2.1k buffs are enough, but why doesnt anyone want them ? All want just the best and are willing to pay more.
On the other side I must go up to 500 cpu for best avian spawn on Bria (9 month old) hehe
I'm not greedy, but I can go through 50 millions in a week, just buying some ressources I'm gonna need in future.

Well, if you can actually make a profit off of 500cpu....Go for it. Man thats a lot of cash.

This is just my opinion, but, Docs are just as greedy as every other prof out there. All of us want to make money, Docs are no different. The biggest problem being, Docs are more visable with the money being made. I am not a Doc, nor have I ever been one, but I have no problem paying 10k-25k for buffs, of course the more I pay, the better the buff should be. I have paid 25k to not have to wait in line. Just like the harvest-hunters that charge outrageous prices, if a doc wants to be insane and charge 50k for buffs, go right ahead. If he/she makes money doing it, more power to em. I will NEVER publicly whine about buff/weapon/resource prices because I don't have to pay them. I can go look for better price somewhere else. I will **edit** to my PA or my friends, but never on a board. So Docs, charge whatever you think you should get for your buffs, if I think that they are worth it, I will pay, if not, I will move on and hunt without.

Who things I want comment today both inter-related to each other in the oddest way.
Everyone seems to say that docs overprice, yet those are the people that dont buff!
I used to be a full time buffing doc. I would sit in Coronet for 4 hours straight, two shifts with an hour pause. By the end I would have maybe around 1.2 mil. at 10k a buff or an express line for 40k (and an average 2 a day buying the express line). Here comes my first comment: BUFFING IS BORING! Yes, meeting new people is fun but then there are the evil people that want you to only buff a certain atribute (and then wine about it after you tell them nocause each set is complete, give one away and what are you going to do with the extra buffs?).
Then this is the worst part and the reason I havent buffed in almost 2 weeks. I went to Dantooine one evening when Coronet was packed and the lag was just too bad for me to buff. I came down, set my price at 12k and shouted it. First thing that happens this guy in composite armor comes over and tells me "What? Only 12k!? I just paid this other doc 15k for crappier stuff, where were you 10 minutes ago a**wipe?" I tell him "Dont speak to me like that." and he sends me a duel request!
Of all the insane things to do! Of course I denied it and told him to go bug someone else.
I sit around for another two minutes and someone comes up and ask me "So its 12k for your buffs?" I go yes. "Then go ahead and buff me, I'll pay half way." so I nicely replied "Im sorry, thats not the way I do business." He then just tells me "Oh then fu** u then". Since when does the customer set the rules?
So since that incident I have decided never to buff again aside from me and a few friends and guildmembers. I preffer to spend my time in Dantooine hunting instead of having to stand those kind of people.
So no, I dont agree doctors are charging too much, the boredom and the incredible rudeness of people is worth a lot more than 10k.
I dont know ifI'll ever return for buffing, but one thing for sure is... NEVER AGAIN in Dantooine.

WOW NO MEAT SPENDING FEES but i still wana kill the chefs ! but do know u stupid rangers charging 170/cpu for each little unit of avian meat then crying to us when ure on dath and to lazy to shuttle to cornet for a new buff , DONT expect our prices to be to low for you , i buff at the price of the current spendings , if i pay high for my resources i charge high for buffs , if resources can be found lower i charge lower , so if all u want it lower so u can dance with janta and NS QUIT CHARGING US INSANE PRICES FOR THE STUPID RESOURCES AND MEAT! perhaps u should go to kidron mall and see the prices of tatooine fiberplast? about 150k for 10k units , thats not even enough for a full factory run ! im done ranting and power to the docs who actualy make their own buff packs instead of buying them from people who are just 0/0/0/4 in doc making a fortune off it

I am a master doctor. I am well known among the Starsider Doctor population as a manufacturer of buff packs. I completely agree with the original poster, the greed is getting out of hand. I spent a few minutes today buffing people in C-net for 10k a pop, bivoli included. Apparently this offended another doctor who felt 15k was a better price. I was sent an email calling for me to raise my rates (only after his entire line moved over to me. I didn't undercut him. I was there first). I would like to go ahead and let everyone know that even after paying 100 cpu for both avian and herbivore meat a buff pack costs less than 6k to produce. Now I'm talking 900 power, over 3 hours, and 30 charges here. I sell these packs for 12k and would sell them for less if it wouldn't be such an outrage to my peers. A doctor using these packs and paying 3-5k per piece of bivoli would make out like a bandit. At 10k per person thats a triple profit. If they made the packs themselves that is a wopping 700% profit. Now, someone please tell me again why doctors should charge any more than 10k?

Where's your shop at ? I'll come buy some...I can't build packs of that power and I have some of the highest quality resources..lol...
Here's one thing that bothers me though...I have a friend in-game that is a millionaire...has at least 6million credits. He was complaining on our guild boards about buffs that cost 15K. He would use them to go and do Janta missions or some such thing. Yet, he was complaining about a measley 15K for a buff? For someone with MILLIONS of credits? That is the crux of why we should raise prices. If nothing else, just to piss off people who are complaining about the cost of buffs when they are uber rich....that's what gets my goat...Credits are SO easy to come by ingame, even for a noob, 15K is a drop in the hat when it comes to buffs.

I didn't post that to advertise but I did PM you the waypoint. Being a doctor shouldn't be about the money. It's about helping people. Just because someone CAN charge 50k doesn't mean they should. If anyone became a doctor for the money then this thread should tell them that they can make a whole lot more by killing Jantas.

I feel that people need to ease up on the doc community for how much they charge. The reason i say that is because i for 1 charge 10-12k for a buff that hits all stats for 2541 or higher for 3 hrs..thats a good price. Now if you pay me 12k for that buff and then went out hunting i can guarentee that you would be able to make 1 hell of a profit from it for example is 1 37k rancor mission is more than 2x the cost of the buff after 3 hours of hunting ya will have made .....well u do the math!!!!!

well all of us [ doctors ] can go on strike and not buff anybody for a month , just ourselfs and freinds and see how much people *would* pay for them to see their true value

/shout Master Doc Buffing ...ALL STATS2500+ ... Over 3 hrs! ... Pay me ONLY what you THINK I should be charging!!!
I did that ONCE ...230 credits wasn't worth it.
This time I'll add:
/shout If YOU pay less than what I KNOWmy buffs are worth .. You've justdonated to the "Visnja isn't going to buff you fund" ... PERIOD!
