Okay...now I am lost. First off, what exactly do you mean when you say 'stockpilers'? Are you talking about the people who gather mass amounts of rescources and tries to sell it or keep it for themselves? I am a little confused, now. As for my personally buying meat, I have never bought anything outside of grinding quality of anything as I try to harvest what I need unless I happen to run out and need something on the fly. Sure, I have two characters and use Leate to harvest stuff for Twylyte, but I try to be as self-reliant as I possibly can so I won't have to pay. Maybe if more people tried to help themselves out instead of relying on others to do the work for them then things wouldn't be so screwy, economy-wise.

As for the subject of selling meds and buffing for money, how do you propose we make enough money to keep our harvesters and factories running? Sure, a lot of the doctors out there also have combat skills and can do missions, but what do you suggest to people who play strictly non-combat characters like I do when I am on as Twylyte? Sure, she is also a master dancer and can mind buff, but I have a feeling you might complain about my charging for those, too (I don't. If people ask me what I sharge I let them decide what they are worth, letting them control what they pay). Sure, I can wait for tips from people I heal but you often times go hungry when you settle for 'relying on the kindness of strangers'. Where I do appreciate your views, I can't help but feel like they might be a little narrow minded. But please feel free to prove me wrong if I am. I am willing to learn when possible.

When I refer to stockpilers I'm referring to the people I'm having to buy Hydron3 and Dolovite from because it hasn't spawned in forever and they charge 50% more than what it was going for when it spawned. Your meat problem is a whole different thread but a ton of it comes from docs with a lot of money who want as much meat as possible so they out bid other docs for the meat. This skyrocketed the meat prices but like I said thats all another thread.

As for buffing I said that many hologrinders use Doc to make money (probably to fund hologrinding) which creates more supply for buffs. Very few of them give a crap about being a Doc and there are less and less "real" doc's left. Honestly how you make your money is none of my business but I dont' see why you wouldn't charge for mind buffs. I respect your self-reliance and I 100% agree with you that people need to do things themselves more. I wish more people had your work ethic.

I stated I have no problem with tumblers and in fact I don't really have a huge problem with hologrinders in general. Hologrinding hasn't made a good or bad doc. Hologrinding in many cases has made a stupid doc that asks really stupid questions that they wouldn't ask if they spent more than 5 minutes on the profession. Other than that they can tumble to their hearts content as long as they aren't spamming. Please don't think I was arguing with you as I agree with everything you said. I just don't want you to underestimate what hologrinders have done to the game as a whole. Why do you think the Jedi revamp is being pushed ahead?

Okay..I think I might have misread some of your post and I aplogize. I retract my response to that part of your post.

I really wish I could have played the game from the beginning. I would love to know how things were then compared to now.

Just leave it alone, sure ive had the Idea but this was well seen before hand. The nerfing of CH now no one can get a pet that you can use a flame on and heal it for any significant damage was the first choice, now its all tumbling. Soon no tumbling and you will have CH's offering to lend a pet for 100k a hr lol.

I would be willing to bet most of the people complaining are the "warrior types" that have started the same threads in all the entertainer forums. Stop the arguements within the profession as that is what really causes the damage. Anyone that comes to these forums learns their craft from advice given here. People who dont may learn it from a fellow professional or be a "crap" doctor. You may pick up some things on hunts but I personally think to gain exp only that way is highly over rated and tedious.

Prior to holo grinding docs were almost obsolete and probably will become rare again once all is done. Why were doctors rare?? Because sitting in med center is boring as all get out...on hunts people think docs share of mission is enough, even though generally the cost of all the meds takes largest chunk out of any profit. Why avoid the real reasons rather than blaming something as silly as tumblers? Doctors have been buffing entertainers so no exp there either. Time to ignore these type threads as its 9 times out of 10 put here by someone who didnt get their battle wounds healed fast enough for free so they can run out and make another 90k in an hour. Read the entertainer/dancer/musician forums as you will see the same "type" moaning. By not wearing my doc title I heal ppl who happen to read my bio and ask very nicely for buff/heal or if I see someone needing one. I have had good experiences with ppl and havent been discouraged by the "leet dudes". By keeping my dancer away from cantina except by request or when in the mood have also avoided these types. That is my choice but please dont let these "types" put you against each other. Oh and btw not saying this particular poster is one of these types ...if you aren't I heartily apologize ..if you are oh well. Much more productive things to discuss .

Bottom line, TUMBLING WAS NOT designed intentionally to provide medics/doctors with quick efficient methods of aquiring experience points.

Maybe BE's should be able to sample tumblers too!

Maybe they should make tumbler assistant droids!

Maybe make a whole profession called tumbling!

Tumblers just can't admit that this "method" was not intended as part of the game.

No, it was not an intentional design. The devs have stated in the past thqat it will be changed so that you don't get exp for healing damage caused by using specials. But it is currently in the game and people will use it for now. Once it's gone people will find and use the next best method to get the fastest exp.

However, this still does not give anyone the right to grief tumblers by buffing their stats.

Doing so is nothing more than petty griefing that can get you banned, as it should.

Why not? I don't understand your logic?

It's OK for tumblers to tumble, because tumbling exists in the game mecahnicsand is possible to do. Well...

Buffing exists in the game mecahnicsand is possible to do.

So why should you be banned for unwanted buffing? The devs had a chance to give doc's the ability to remove buffs, but they didnt do it. They let us override buffs instead.

If you think docs should be banned for performing an unwanted action,

I think tumblers should be banned for performing an unwanted action...

Trying to justify your own griefing?

The tumbler does not interfere with your gameplay

You buffing him does interfere with his gameplay.

That is griefing. It is nothing more than a petty, small minded action. Anyone that griefs others just because they don't like that persons method of gameplay deserves to be banned and I hope they are banned.

i have to agree with that. someone tumbling isnt affecting you in any way. if you buff a tumbler that someone is healing, you are grieffing that healer.

Alright here we go first post on a subject dear to my heart. Now I'll admit when I started on the quest to being a doc I used tumblers. And you know what that was the most boring day of my life, and then it dawned on me healing tumblers isn't fun in fact it's the opposite of fun, it's anti-fun I mean it's as fun as (fill in something that's not fun) so I stopped healing the tumblers and I went out into the wild. And in my opinion if you go out with 2 or 3 ppl and just heal them while they're killing everything you see, you not only get crazy xp but have lots of fun. And really that's what it all boils down too, having fun. If healing tumblers is fun then good for you, have a good time, you're enjoying something that IMO is crazy boring. But if like me you have more fun healing ppl in the heat of battle then that's good too. But I mean buffing someone to screw other ppl out of xp, not that cool, ok I lied the first time I saw someone buff a tumbler I laughed, but I mean they're not bugging you and besides you will be a far superior doc for doing it the hard way because you've got experience under you belt. So find a hunting party be a good doc save everyone money because there's no need to buff when you're getting healed (well to some extent) and have fun!!!

If they get rid of tumbling they need to nerf every profession out there. Everycombat profession easlily solos with out taking ny damage so they dont need yo there to heal them. Everyone and their brother has the tka line tohewal own wounds this was the final nail in the coffin. This needs to be removed. Believe me i would rather heal folks that needed it other then waste time on afk tumblers. But since we got novice brawlers that cen get 80% kin armor and 10k buffs and go solo rancors there is no use for novice medics anymore. And yes pretty soon the cantinas will be completely empty so no healing them either. Once they close down the holo grind there will be one or two ents in a cantina if your lucky at a time. Those will be afk alts most likily.. Yes this game needs alot of changes. But these changes will make 95% of the servers cry about being nerfed and now they cant solo krayt dragons.

This is like sayingcrafters can only get xp from stuff that is sold and used by other players. if this is the case they woud never get to master.

There are so many things wrong with your arguement here that I'm really not going to respond to most of it. Every combat profession easily solos without taking any damage? Strange that I still have to heal my hunting partner who is a Master Rifleman. TKA line? There are probably 20-30 people in my guild and only maybe 2 have TKA. Novice Brawler soloing a Rancor? Seriouslly have you done any of this? Rancors are at least 50% resistant to kinetic and I had serious trouble soloing them as a bare bones novice swordsmen even with 80% armor and buffs. Hologrinding, and tumbling are going away soon so it really doesn't matter whether anyone likes it or not.

Woah.

While I agree with the first one umm the second "gameplay" consists of them not even being at the computer, running a looping macro and irritating the crap out of everyone around them by screaming "HEY LOOK I'M TUMBLING!! GIVE ME MONEY BECAUSE I'M NICE LIKE THAT!"

Correct me if I'm wrong but in allactually the SOE Team actually frowns heavily upon gameplay that consists of you being afk running a macro. Trust me that's a huge debate on the entertainer forums as well.

We get xp if we heal him or we get xp if we buff them... sorry if buffing xp is more than a heal I've buffed them as I went by.... Action and Health of course though so they have more of a ham to heal... gotcha! LOL

You arewrong, SOE allows any macros you can do with the in game tools, they draw the line at third party programs.

People need to worry less about what other people are doing and more about the way they play the game.

I stand corrected then thanks for the heads up. Not sure where I read that. Either way my opinion is it's not "gameplay" to run that macro. That's my opinion, honest I'm allowed to have one. Do I stay awake nights worrying over tumblers?

Ummm no.

In fact in my previous post I stated, while I can't stand them, I accept thier place in the game right now. Ok... I likened them to parasites but hey even parasites have rights and serve a purpose!
