Thread: Post CU doc heal bots...

For wound healing and buffing, we could get a buffing mini-game, much like the slicing game. Same mechanic. It doesn't need to be that complicated, just enough to prevent afk-botting.

I don't see how we, as docs, will get players who don't tip for heals now to start tipping for heals. I think that with crafting gone and buffs becoming an 'ability' rather than a med (that costs creds), many players will demand the buffs as their divine right.

As for wound healing, we still don't know what the heal rate for the heal over time wound med, and a med center or tent will heal wounds free. I don't want to have to group/ungroup to heal wounds, it seems ridiculous.

I don't think you should get rid of the /invite command. I think it should be and interface similar to healing a spec-ops player where each gets a pop-up window where both can agree and on the docs end, charge a fee (if desired). Even better, make the pop-upe like the Image Designer window, and the doc can set a price (if desired) and the player can accept the mod. And since the ID interface already exists, then it would be pretty easy to adapt to our needs.

All I really gotta say is your exactly right. But, haha, let some @$$ clown come up to me and say "Its my devine right that you buff/heal me and not pay for it!!!11!!11one!!1111". haha...Yeah that guys got another thing comin'. I've always charged for what my time is worth, not the resources I use on an item. I'm far from rich, and I'm far from greedy, but I'm not going to stop my playtime just to heal/buff some guy thats going to treat me like a chump...and then not tip me. I don't put up with that as an Entertainer, ID, or a Doctor now...and its certainly not going to change after the CU.

The issue with buff bots is this in my opinion. is timing. While I'm one person I can on any given day buff where ever for 5-7 hours before getting tired. If I were a Bot, I could buff 24/7 robbing other ATK Docs of customers and interaction with other players. This isn't right in my opinion.

And yeah I just don't much care for small groups, it makes sense with your w/ a pickup group, but my guild has more then 8 people in it....so now we can no longet go on Corvette runs as a guild. I mean a lot hangs on the line when you have to "pick a team". Regardless the intentions or the reasons for it people get sore when they are let out for whatever reason.

If you've got to "pick and choose your team," I know one group of players that's going to get left in the dust.... the Combat/non-combat hybrids. Why take a inferior combatant that will die easier when trying to do high level content?

Mwhaha Whats up...fancy seeing you in here. But exactly. It defeats the purpose of the DWB also....

I think I saw this last night, but I can't be sure.. since I could not get a group

Is it possible to set your heal to autoattack? I swear I saw 2 acct. people using an autohealer... at one point I'm sure I even saw one in a group, healing the main tank (because he was healing even out of combat.).

A lot of SWG players have more then 1 acct. Having your own healer bot may not be optimal, but it is beter then no healer at all if your template doesn't allow you SP for medic.

I'm waiting for the multi-heal macros... but the autoattack may be bad enough :/

I just know people will try and find any way they can not to have to pick up an actual live player to heal them on the fly. This game has become so solo-centric, i'm not sure it can recover... no matter how they change the game platform, the players are still mostly solo-centric.

If you just need self heals ANYBODY can use the BE crafted stim packs, thier only requirement is combat level for them, so the higher combat level you are the bigger stim you can use, no medic required. You only need medic to heal other people if you are so inclined. As far as the macro goes:

/peace

/healdamage tank

/pause <heal delay>

/macro healdamage

No auto attack required.

Yep, Dancers got the shaft. Hopefully "In Concept" will be changing.

I'm not sure I agree--after reading that Dancers give a buff that increases experience,

Increases experience for who? You mean their buff will allow players to get more XP in combat during the time of the buff?

Yep, that's what I read. Basically, the longer you watch/listen, the longer it'll last, up to three hours. I got the impression it works for combat and crafting.

Wouldn't the dancers WANT to do a dance that extends XP?

Send me a Tell tonight (IGN : Egri) Monday we had a few Doctors from the forums with us...didn't do much because of time constrants, but it was fun nonetheless.
