LOL no no the cash cow is still around Mooooo........ at MO you can get 40k a buff just keep a small line and quick buff and the reson i buff for 40k is 300CPU meat lol.... most cry 40k!!!!!! then sit down and tip in about 3 min when they see they need them to run the janta missions. If you look at what a doc is doing for you why not pay him a little there is no way a TKM can make 1 mill an hour with out buffs so give us a break we are just trying to eat and be happy people dont want to stay in a big line for a free buff lol they will pay whatever it takes to get it now a buff is better than crack!!!!!

Hahah yeah for all those who think 20k is too much for a buff, maybe all us doctors should no longer buff teh public.

Imagine that, no one able to get buffs but us ,lol

Everyone would be standing around MO going, I cant kill anything anymore, Im a wimp now. No combat profession would be albe to do anything and youd all be having to do your missions in groups or go back to tatooine and kill Scyk's for a living.

Anyways, no one is to blame here but Doctors trying to undercut themselves. Doctors dont understand that no matter what, no matter who is beside you, people will come to you for buffs because without them they are usless .

Haven't seen a change on Kettemoor much. Matter of fact Cnet is kinda sparse and Theed is plain empty! Most of the public buffing doc's are on dathomir. If I run around other planets with my master doctor tag up I get plenty of tells from buff hungry people. Heck even my favorite afk entertainer buff bot moved from dantoonie to dathomir.

Seriously though, if you're having money issues go run a couple of missions. If you're a MDoctor/MCM or other non-combat prof.....well you're screwed. Welcome to the only MMO where non-solo groups are super rare.

People really over-estimate the amount of money docs make.

Just logged into ecilpse, at the village we have a doctor buffing for free. (and not 2300 buffs, but 2600 3hr40mins)
He bascially buying exp. don't think what he is doing is wrong.

But it will be interesting how this effects the buff market.

Yes it will be quite interesting. To those that charge 15k a buff at the moment... why exactly are you chargin that amount. Here in Bria the cost of a buff to buy is about 5k per buff, if you make em its even less. So either: a) You get charged more /buff than what I buy 'em at or b) you are wanting to make more than 100% profit.

It will have a small, marginal effect. If any of you have ever done Architect, the price ranges on Architect products range widely from low to highbut if you stick to your pricing strategy, you'll do fine. There are always other Architects willing to sell for half the price you want - but they don't last long.

Just like the Architect profession, those who are doing it for other reasonsother thanbeing a Crafter (or in this case, Doctor) burn-out quickly. The holo-grind was a case example of that.

However, I do find it amusing that this Jedi revamp spawned another holo-grind type situation. No matter what, people are sooooo desperate to be Jedi in the shortest amountof time that they'll sacrafice their game enjoyment for it. I never did the previous hologrind because I'd rather watch paint dry than go through that pain for something I pay for to have fun.

To each his/her own though- and I wouldn't worry about it.

Simple way to counter?

Go to yavin and set up shop outside the geo caves, youll sell buffs 15-20k easy (maybe more) for all the jedi/FS grinders.

Its what ive been doing.

Well Im glad to see this thread died, not really worth complaining about the situation. But I must admit it was very informative for I will not be buffing for free at all. Not really fair for those doctors that are starting out or those that can't afford to give out free buffs. Did you guys know that it will take around 1800 buffs to get all 4 boxes of a single tree?! Thats going to be like 60 buff 2300+ buff packs to get it! And that in itself is about 7.2 mil worth of buffs! (Open market at 120k/buff pack cost here on Bria).

I have not seen a price drop on Eclipe. I still get 10K per buff and on Dath at the Science Outpost some people even tip me 20K.

I have seen some Novice Docs doing free buffs for xp. The buffs range anywhere from 93 to 1050. So, I guess you get what you pay for.

The first two days at the Village, there were some Docs giving free buffs, but have not seen that in the last few days. Now they usually say, tip what you think and that can be anywhere from 10K to 50K.
