Because you *should* need Medic to have Doctor....Why not let Medics craft for docs?
This discussion is really kinda pointless until we get the Profession Information. I mean we can say do and don't, and what if, and well thats not right....all day long, but we still accomplish nothing but adding to the frustration of ourselves and others that read it.
We have no clue how the skills will be changing, and really that should be enough at this time.

What's the difference? Making something yourself but can't use it is assonine, but BE making Doc stuff and they don't have Doc is okay? Doctor has always been a continuation of Medic, it's the only thing that does make sense...

The only issue I have with this is that it "seems" like a good idea. I would have to give advice knowing nothing like we all do, and have it screw people over.
That'sirresponsible to do in my opinion and you might think twice about it. I know I would feel like crap if I suggested something and it messed things up for people.
Actually BE only requires Organic Chemistry from the Medic Tree....While Doctor currently (and hopefully will remain) needs Master Medic, so yes it makes no sense to have BE's craft Doctor items.

i know real life isn't a good example or explanantion but its like this. undergrads are medics, and BE or doctor is the masters degree. you need the first before you geteither of the2nd, but they're seperate because they're both elite skills. you can learn both, but you have to go to grad school twice

There is nothing in game to suggest what you say is true. Doctors craft, BE craft. Doctors primarily craft Medicines BEs create life. So are you saying if a scout went to grad school he can be a BE because what? He's a crafter?
BE and Docs have nothing to do with each otherother than sharing a preq. BE was mentioned because I'm sure (completely unfounded) that like the PetStims BEs will make the SelfStims. This would be in character and aligning in the past with what has happened. Doc will smush into Medic like Starship Engineer smushed into Shipwright. There is no basis for Doc meds to go into BE.
Though of course I have nothing to base this on but past trends.

this has gotto be the best one yet........... it was a suggestion, if i knew that hundreds or thousands of people were hanging on my every word waiting for my decision then, well, i probably wouldn't be playing swg. it's a suggestion, and trust me, if it doesn't work out, i won't lose any sleep at night.

I know it was a suggestion I never made it out to be more. A suggestion knowing nothing about a subject based on assumtpions and what... umm nothing?
So you are suggesting for people to do this and admit that if it screwed people over you wouldn't care?
