Thread: The Diffence between a good Doctor and a bad Doctor
A good Doctor is broke
A Bad Doctor is Rich
....A good Doctor isA newb (they are always broke)
....A Bad Doctor is Knowlagable (they know how to make money)
soooo where'd you get THAT idea?SOMEone thinks Knowlage is bad here!
For me? well i think a good doctor will Report the @$$hats and buff or heal him/her anyways just to get him/her to shutup because they are shooing away from you to another doc.
A bad Doctor? .....Cuss's Back to the person that is a @$$hat,and gets his/her own @$$ reported insted of zipping your fingers and Reporting the jerk
Well my 2 cents is,
There isnt anything that a master doc needs in a med center,we dont need exp we are capped more than likely.
I know it is sad but it is the truth, only someone grinding to be a doc will be in there.
If people tipped like a few of the posters said there would be more in the med centers, but sadly a lot of people think that its our job to do it and we get exp for it (no tip)
There is a lot of money involved in being this (good doctor) and will likely go in the hole trying to be one.
This (bad doctor) will be able to give a service of buffing and make money.
That old saying (wish in this hand and $hit in that hand and see which one fills up first)
I dont carry wound packs,i am a tkm so i dont need them myself,i dont buff the public,i make enhance packs for other docs.
So me = bad doctor i guess , but i am not a broke doctor ![]()

A GOOD DOCTOR... Carrys all heal and wound packs, poison heals, buff packs, revive packs etc and will also help heal others in the medical centre and in the field.
A BAD DOCTOR... Only carrys buff packs and only cares about making his money buffing people.
I only say this because I have been training upto master medic for the last 5 weeks and only 2233 and in the last few days I have been in coronet medical centre healing wounds and all that. I have noticed a lot of doctors just don't heal other peoples wounds and I hear the excuse that their out of wound packs or their no time to heal etc etc. I know that they are a lot of good doctors about as I have met some in the medical. Is it not worth your time anymore healing wounds or has the greed of the $ in form of buffs become more important.
Oh my god... you have taken no consideration for other professions at all.
I don't carry any woundpacks.. and you know why ... because I have no space for them!!
Try having to wear a bandolier for your profession (so no backpack), then try to have enough space for buff/dizzy/stun/intimidate/poison/disease/wound .... on top of weapons and armour...
If anyone asks me for woundhealing.. I tell them the truth.. I have no packs...
buff/dizzy/poison/disease/stun ... and stims.. thats what I carry... so now I'm a bad doctor huh?
Thanks for that...

I can't agree more, although I will add more to this. There is nothing more irritating than being in a medical center with substantial wounds that need healed, and not be able to get healed, because everybody's healing the &*^&*^ tumblers. I would seriously pay SOE cash to rid that move and any other similar move. I'm so tired and annoyed by "tumblers" it makes me sick. Doctors would rather pay 500 credits to someone for some XP than to make 1000 or 2000 (which is what I normally tip when getting healed) to heal up some wounds??? And for what - so they can get to that wonderful position of buffing people simply to get rich. On the other hand, it seems that it is that way in real life too - doctors anymore are only in it for the money, rather than caring the slightest. All I know is THANK GOD I have a soon to be doctor in my guild that will provide those necessary heals when needed.
Hmm maybe you should try being a Doc, now I do heal ppl but rarely if every get paid for it even if i go out of my way, and sometimes don't even get thanked, now when this is happening please explain to me why I should heal pll at all (even tho i do), I can see why some doc's don't!!
And as for getting rich buffing yes its a good income but I can earn more Hunting.
and there is nothing wrong with tumbers, the doc's at there to lvl to master doing that, it like you say lvling TKA (or whatever prof) hunting quenkers on dant for example and you want to get some lvls and someone comes up and as "could you come help me kill Lesser Bol's" I won't pay you to help me and i may not thank you for helping me, and then bitching when you say no sorry you can't when you get little exp from the bols no cash and no thanks.
not saying you would not tip but a vast majority don't and consider Doc's healing as a freeservice which is wrong, they don't take much effort to make or cost much but its my skills and time that are also involved, and they should not be free.
and will you be paying your guild doc... I hope so even if its enough to cover costs ![]()
It's nice to not be greedy.
Back to the point of buffing... if people say my buffs suck, I tell them to find another doc. Usually when this happens, there's a 40+ min wait on the other doc, or no doc at all. Either way, they're screwing themselves in the first place. The reason people say my buffs suck, is because I buff for 2050 usually, BE clothes is all I have. I believe Bolovi is a pure profit killer, thus why my buffs aren't 2400+. Once again, if people don't like my stats, go find another doc, I'll buff my alt. and go hunt stuff, I don't need the money.
BESIDES the bolovi topic....
I would imagine most doctors agree with me.
Funny how people seem to think everyone becomes a doctor for them . Personally I became one because I wanted to try it. It goes well with my TKA. It works well when I am hunting with a few friends. The friends that i hunt with have been good about helping me with supplies as I have helped them (other char a 10pt armorsmith so no not rich lol). I mine my own resources with my other char...i made this tka char to help her get hides she needed. K now that being said...I have never asked my guild for anything and they have not offered wth the exception of 3 members who we help each other out. Yet my guild expects everything from me for free if not almost free. To say I am getting tired of it is an understatement. Now if they want to farm avian/herb meat for me..or get my armorsmith hides she needs..heck ya i repay double. Trouble is, as also a master artisian , as an example, the want vehicles all the time. It is not worth me placing harvesters for this as no one wants to pay for it...so i tell them get me the resources and I make for free...guess their answer? That costs a lot...doh. I am not a greedy person at all but darn if I am going to pay $15.00 so I can make everyone else have easier gameplay and me working at harv and crafting so that they benefit with no output.
Same goes for doc. I trained in it..had to pay guildie to tumble :/ but did the profession for me and those that have helped me out or when I feel like it. Have been doc very short time but already lost count on number of ppl who I have healed who never even said thanks..a tip? whats that?another reason my master dancer rarely dances unless she just feels like it..no appreication for your time or ability. People want a buff bot..buy second acct like i did. /rant off
ive been master doctor for only five days now
i carry with me
buffpack
action and health wound pack(secondarys are just not worth it)
cure disease/poison
and dizzy,stun,intimidate state packs
in five days ive used 120buff packs,1 cure disease,0 poisonand maybe 6 action and health wound packs
its not worth the trouble to carry everything on u all at once, people see your master doctor title and go I WANT BUFFS!!my opinion is this ,u want healing go to med center,u want buffs find a doc sitting down with a droid
no docs should beexpected to heal everything, just like in rl docs have specialities,i buff others heal

Ifyou have your Master Doc title up and dont feel like healing diseases etc for whatever reason then you're a bad doc.
If you feel like leaving the title off for whatever reason, then there simply is no problem.
Of course people add it to their pvp template so you're not expecting them to buff outside starports etc. To me it all depends if you have the title on. I carry all meds and a crate of sparesall of the time ( I leave tools and resources at home)and the only thing I'll refuse to dois buffs if I'm low on packs. So I play it like this;
Doc title on: healing all wounds, treatments and buffs if I have them (a doc shouldn't hide their title if they're not buffing, I'll always have a disease/rez/poison pack on me so players can read my title to show I can treat them)
Doc title off: who cares? problem solved. the choice to treat a player is yours
I don't know if it's just me but a polite inquiry by any player will generally result in me going out of my way to help them. Having "one of those customers" is fun but it does make us suspicious of the general population

The Diffence between a good patient and a bad patient on the servers at the moment.
A GOOD PATIENT ...Tips doctors forall heal and wound packs, poison heals, buff packs, revive packs etc respecting the fact that all of these items cost credits and the doctors time to craft them.
A BAD PATIENT... Only cares about "uber" buffs and thinks everything else should be free and that the Doctor should be at his/her beck and call.
Bad patients turn good doctors to jaded doctors. Unfortunately, there are more bad (patients) than good which is what drives this issue ... NOT, the doctors. If the relationship between doctor and patient were economically amicable, there wouldn't be an issue.
Respect for the players goes both ways.
I agree with this one, I've ported through Theed spaceport a month ago and saw a doctor selling 2200+ buffs for 3 hours 20 mins, decent stuff and a customer asks for the stats and price but when the doctor replied the info the guy responds "bah I'm going to Coronet for better buffs"... I can't believe he insulted that doc, and the doc just packed his droid and got up and just left with a 10+ person line waiting.
