I Too Fell the pain, i frequently get asked to heal and with Not even a Thanks as they run out of the med center in thier 30,000 credit chinton armor and thier 20,000 credit guns blazing. That Is an INSULT to me and the rest of us. Heh...actually yesterday a person i have never met sent me a tell , wanted me to travel 2000 meters to resurect him and got PISSED when i told them it would cost him 500 credits for me to do so. The Nerve of some people....the only advice i can Give is this....Ignore the rude, erogant, childish and (prolly) spoiled rotten KIDS in the game and do what is fun for you!
Master docs should stay out of hospitals,if people arenotgiving substantial tipsand since the master docs have no need for experience they shouldn't be there. If you're being paid for master docs wound heals, fine. Otherwise you are taking xp from people who need itand getting nothing in return but other medics pissed at you. If a master doc is healing everyone else might as well pack up and leave.
Ohshut up.Have you even considered gaining experience from adventures besides sitting in the med center? If you have a med bot, try street healing. If you have the tenacity, balls, and are willing to risk your life, accompany a hunting group of CH's with wounded pets. You gain more xp accompanying high level hunters than you do sitting around in the med center. You only gain good med xp there if you can use quality B healthpacks. I stress the word, quality.

Seriously, get over yourself and quit being so goddamned insecure. There are MANY MANY ways to get med xp besides simply sitting in a medical center. And if you do want to camp at one, camp on Lok, Darthmor, or Endor research posts. With the strong level monsters there, it won't matter what the level of the medic is as long as there IS one there.

Quit the whining and don't lecture master doctors about them hogging xp.

While someone is talking about the early days of sitting in the med center at Novice Medic healing wounds and such, I might as well say this now:

I joined Bria server because of my clan, and I was saying, hey, I wanna be a doctor. Hey, a master doctor is cool, right? Well, I'm standing around in Coronet Medical, just minding my business, I met some good friends, people I see all the time around Coronet and everywhere, Master Doctors now, and Combat Medics.

Blah. Well, my PA decides that we're going Imperial and setting up on Naboo near Theed, where I know no one, and I'm really going to miss my quiet little shop just North East of Coronet, next to all the really cool vendors. I have all the Imperial faction points, but I can't bring myself to join the Imperials. All my friends that I had made in that little medical center in Coronet are obviously joining the Rebellion...

It really pains me to leave Coronet, and just move somewhere where I don't know anyone...

But what about my PA? I've known these people for a year or more! I can't just go my own way just like that....

I just don't bother anymore. I don't need the xp, tips aren't frequent (although those who do tip in Bestine tend to tip quite well - and I thank all of you!), and I make more money selling my stimpacks and running destroy missions on nuna lairs (avian meat!) And the ratio of rude to non-rude medics/docs is about the same as the overall rude:non-rude ratio. Except there are a LOT more non-medic/docs out there. If you catch my drift.

(You'd think that someone who mainly does bazaar runs and does maybe 2 missions a DAY wouldn't have problems with kill stealers. You'd be wrong.)

lol I like the master doctors should not be in a medical facility. Personally it is sad that they are made to feel unwelcome. What do you think a Master Doctor should be doing then? They trained hard and long to be great at healing wounds. Folks send them tells and ask them to please come heal them up. They should not be made to feel bad about doing what they wanted to do all along, heal folks. Most Masters only heal somebody that is badly beat up and before you get angry at them, ask the poor customer if they want you to heal them for 30 minutes or the master to heal them up in 2! The wounded person does have some say in this believe it or not. In Beta most medical centers were run with one Master on duty and a half dozen medics. the Medics would call to the Master Doctor for any patients over 200 in wounds. If you dont like a Masterin the med center when you are there, doingwhat they are trained to do, then go heal in the cantina and leave them in the place they were meant to be. The Med Centers.

In the two-story hospitals, all you hve to do is stand upstairs, give a /yell for anyone wanting quick heals for <insertcost here> to please come to second floor...or even the ones that have two sides, to come to the other side to heal. Get them away from the Novices.

I like the idea of putting your Novice Doc tag on and healing for 300

I was having problems with rude medics BEFORE I even made master doc .......

I worked up the med crafting and medical use tree first, so was using some pretty nice D packs when ever I was healing in the med center.

I just told the ones that whinned to bite me =)

Hi all

My gripe is the competitiveness between trainee medics.

I'm based in Coronet, Starsider. I should have made Novice Doc two days ago but the fight for apprenticshipxpfor medics is fierce. As soon as someone asks for medic training, everyone rushes to group with them. I've had to set up private deals with more junior medics to train them.

It's a crazy system really. Medics who are nowhere near masterare taking apprentice xp from thosewho are one step away.I've read elsewhere that beta testers told the devs that this was a flawed system but SOE stuck with it. May be only medics and those from other base professions with a lvl 4 skill should be able to teach.

hehe. I like that idea.

As soon as I had enough cash I bought a small house and placed it right outside of town. Whenever I ran through town I advertised "my hospital".

If you need apprenticeship points, just train folks in surveying. I mean, lets be honest here, the majority of us have Surveying IV, so the technique is thus:

1. Find someone who has Surveying IV already, and 20k exp saved up. This is pretty easy, especially if you're in a PA or just have some friends you made while healing wounds.

2. Have them drop Surveying all the way down to zero, then train them up again. You will earn +20 / +30 / +40 / +50 apprenticeship points for a total of +140, and it doesn't cost them a thing. Note - this works with anyone EXCEPT a Master Artisan.

I have recently reached tier 2 of med crafting as doctor and made me a whole mess of C meds. I have never had the issue of other medics or docs complaining openly about my healing. I usually let the other medics handle the not too bad Ham bars and only heal the bad ones to almost full to let the medics finish. I have ran into some rude patients but on the hole most people are nice (most likely due to me being the only one to heal them) I have no problem with master docs coming in and always greet them. I wonder if this is because I am in a backwater town and a backwater planet while I was a novice medic just starting out, I prayed for a doc to come in when I was the only medic...in a room filled with patients...and using stim A's!! lol

I do still hit the med centers in every city I visit..old habits die hard. Besides, I usually ask if anyone needs training while I am there particularly in the more deserted cities. As for healing, sure, I still do some while in med centers but usually only for my friends/guild members or for a poor soul who has been waiting patiently 10 minutes to be healed.

BTW, these posts are cracking me up and I feel your pain! Add me to the list of people who no longer wear the title...I use Surveyor now. That is the only way I can get any peace when out working on my pistoleer xp. Besides, a little misdirection never hurt anyone.
