Thread: Charging for Rez Yes or No?

It's usually the other way around for me, I get tipped when I rez someone, and I'm neutral so I have little to worry about- and sometimes I go out in the wilderness (Yavin or Dath) to the corpse, I usually make 2000-5000 cr per rez and it's really up to the person I rez.

If I'm out in the middle of nowhere rezzing someone then I usually incorporate the cost into what inevitably comes next. "Can you heal my wounds?" and "Can you buff me?"

Oh well, rez is so borked in this game. The necessity of explicitely getting consent from everyone on the one had, the fact that most players don't even wait for a rez and just insta-clone, and the fact that there isn't a really effective way to negotiate payment for revive, make revive a rather low-use skill for me. I can count on one hand how many times I've revived someone in the last month (granted I don't PvP much, but even when I did, I hardly got the chance to revive people before I was dead myself anyhow).

Absolutely charge for rez. The only people I rez for free are the members of the guild that let me freeload in their city and the members of the mission group I am currently in. I rez these people for free because it behoves me to keep them happy, to keep me in missions and to keep me from being citybanned.

Everyone else pays. I like helping. Itry tonever refuse services, even when I'm otherwise occupied. But I'm not doing it for free. I averaged 5000cr a minute today running missions. If you want me to pull away from what I'm doing to help you, you're going to kick me something for my time. Anyone who can't deal with 6k per rez can clone.

Do I charge for rez's, hell yes I do. Why? Because I can and I'm sick of ass holes saying can j00 rez me and heal ma wounds.

If the person is my friend, guildmate,or groupmember, I will rez for free, or if they are an all around nice person I will rez and often buff them for free.

generally speaking i don't charge unless the corpse is a **edit**, but i won't do itfor free indefinitely (i usually cap the freebies at 3). so long as they're in the same area/building as me i'll go find em even if @ the bottom of the geo cave and they're at the top..

a lot of the time it can be pretty profitable, i remember 1 visit to the geo cave that got me close to 200k in tips that i never asked for.

Ive been Rezing for 5 months now and Ive never charged for a rez, but when i travel to Rez, just a token Tip would be nice to show that they apprieciate that I've gone out of my way to help them. In all honesty I think ive been offered money for a rez one time only.

I wentand rezed a guy once and got killed doing so, and of course I cant rez myself , what did i get for my troubles?...................

a 'Sorry Dude' and then never seen that guy since

Well ofcourse you never should charge guidies anything and have them tip you on their own graces. But in your situation i would have charged 5k at least or told the dead player have a nice trip back to the OutPost...I feel that the price isnt just paying for the resources to make the pak... its about buying a rez so the player doesnt need to waste time running back and forth " Time is money, witch would you rather spend? ". He's lucky i wasnt you. I charge 5k rez's outside the death bunker and 10k inside... since i take a chance at death myself. I also charge 20k buffs there too... "supply and demand". Yes your ganna get the why so expensive? Thats a stupid price!!! All you need to say is "Find a smarter doctor then, and get out of my line! Becuase i have people who arent cheapskates and want to get back in there asap. Not only should your meds hold a value but also the service you provide that not many others can. I also raise my norm buff prices late at night when the avalibility of a doctor is rare.. another case of "supply and demand". Lets face it.. Im pretty sure your not out there to make a bunch of friends... at least i know im not. Credits talk and bull Sh*t walks

I don't charge for a rez unless someone messages and requests I take a long trip to rez them, then I expect them to compensate me for my time spent saving their rear

You know, I think back to beta, and right around release when it was considered bad etiquite to not tip a medic for healing your wounds. It was practicly expected. These days a tip for a wound heal is pretty rare.
