Thread: Am I the only one who thinks it's too easy to reach Master Doctor?
a bit of light humor...
if u need somethng to do now that u have mastered doctor,
find a set of clothes that includes a jacket that when you put on a belt with it..the belt doesnt look like a hula hoop...belts look fine until u put on a jacket then for some reason they look like a hula hoop..
now thats a real challenge
i already have several sets of clothes in my house..in fact as you walk in ull run into a tuksen raider
great thing about houses is if u drop cloth there they will float and so if u put a pull set of clothes it turn out to be like on an invisible person...
i have my sets of chitin around decorating myhouse...very cool...
oh wait this is the doctos forum not the architect one ..**edit** sry..ignore this post
Hello? It's meant to be easy. This is not a levelling game -- you're supposed to start playing the rest of the game now that you have a master character. Suggest you start by doing a PvE battlefield with a group, or head to any of the high-level planets and try the dungeons.
I can see this is going to be another hangover from other MMORPGs where people bring their attitudes that levelling should take months/years. This game isn't designed that way.
You want to level some more? Get out there and find skill-enhancing attachments that enable you touse the basic abilities of otherprofessions by wearing them in your clothes for +skill mods that you otherwise wouldn't have.

Um no. You're almost a Master Medic. 20-30 Stim B's or C's will not make a blip on the Doctor crafting line.
I'm surprised they haven't fixed that - it's gotta be classed as an exploit.
With two characters you could both macro /tumble spam and then /healdamage on each other, repeatedly while AFK. I'm sure people have done that to master doctor and CM skills already.
Holo has definitely expressed concern about players Mastering out their skills so soon. Primarily because of the fear that folks who are used to leveling games, like EQ, will think they have now done it all.
And they may think they have if all they see are a couple of the themeparks. There's still the missions in town, planets to explore, "dungeons" to conquer, an FS slot to see if you can figure out how to open, the storyline quests that will be opening up soon, credits to be made, markets to be cornered, and so on. I think they feel, and perhaps rightly so, that all of that content really isn't being seen by those players who just don't even know to look for it out there.
So there is certainly some justification to feel like the leveling is too fast. Personally I rather like it as it is, but that is because I can see the content past what will occur when I level. Heck my biggest slow down now is waiting to get friends leveled up so we can have some decent groups to handle some of that other content that will need several players of several skillsets to perform. I don't have a PA and that can certainly makea huge difference in helping people advance, because of the availability of shared resources (and by that I mean more than just Resource Containers, but all resoucres including things like credits and training and so on that the "regular" player may not otherwise have such easy access to.)
So, I like the leveling and I really think it was meant to be this way. But that's just me.
Honestly, I haven't really powerlevel or anything. All I've done is make 20-30 Stim B's or C's and head out with my group of friends in hunting trips, without even trying I'm almost a Master Doctor, am I the only one who thinks the XP requirements are TOO low for us?
I mean, a level 4 Medic skill takes 15,000xp, a level 1 Doctor skill takes 15,000...
Progression (in thousands of XP) is 1, 5, 10, 15 for Medic, 15, 30, 45, 60 for Doc.
I don't think it's too low, really. Most of the professions are geared towards the idea that the average player playing for 20 hours a week will be able to Master and use up all of their skill points in about 3 months. I LIKE the pace of skill increases in this game. I actually feel like I'm getting somewhere and getting new abilities at least every other day of powergaming. (I'm NOT a 20 hr/wk gamer, but a whole lot more!)
For me the most important concept in this entire game is that the game doesn't really start until you Master what you wanted to Master. Only then does the game start. If anything, Mastering is rather slow with that in mind. I don't want to hav to worry about XP at all any more, but until that day comes it's what I work on. AFTER I Master, that's when I expect to start realy following up on all of those quests out there and taking on some of the really cool dungeons, getting into PvP batlefields, all those other things that make this game so great.
Mastering medic is easy...
mastering doctor and CM isnt...
the med xp isnt the problem..the hang up is the crafting xp...
crafting xp is so unbalanced in terms of how easy medical xp is gained...
mastering the medical xp lines is pretty easy...the crafting lines are the hang up..
Perhaps SOE wanted to give people an incentive to become medics and Doctors. I think they may have seen it as an upopular profession. Certainly most of the people I have met online just want to shoot stuff.

by healing a group that is fighting anything that damages them you will gain exp way faster then the marksman or brawlers are.
i had to leave my group very quickly after i got novice doctor because i had capped my exp in an hour.
my cap was at 80k after i got a lvl 4 skill, so i made 80k per hour as a doc. 15k + 30k = 45k. so i could come back and get 2 skill boxes with exp left over. go back to the group and get another 80k, 2 more skills. one more hour after this and i could get both lvl 3 skills. now 2 more hours or less to get the last 2 lvl 4 skills.
so if a person mastered medic(which i think takes longer then doctor).
then spent the time to craft all the stimpack c's they would need(getting you to lvl 2 doc crafting, or near there)
then getting to lvl 4 in one tree to raise your exp cap.
you can spend 2 days doing this if you play a LOT. then spend another day getting the first lvl 4 skill. then one more day to finish off 2 more trees. then spend the last day crafting .
you have jsut gotten master doctor in 5 or 6 days. if you are a casual gamer you can do this in 2 weeks.
